Lovely UI! I'm not a puzzle game fan but I had fun in arcade mode. Have you considered making a version of arcade mode where the cube moves really fast? Additionally, this happened to me in puzzle mode: The level fails but the cube is on the right side?

Seems I can't post the image here  :(

My Steps counter reads -1

Developer

Wena viejo, como estas?
Thank you for your nice comments. Yes there's a lot of work to be done, I'm still working on a lot more content. Here's a sample of the new characters!

And yes the thing about the Puzzle Mode is that you have to solve each level in certain amount of steps, when it gets to -1 you lose because you exhausted the number of steps, I don't really exaplin that either, gomen! (I have been asked to change it to a 3 star system plenty of times, but i haven't got to it).

I've been mostly focusing on the artwork, but I'll go back to the game itself (hopefully) soon! Thank you so much for playing it!

A darle atomos! Tu eres el artista tambien de tu juego? Yo tengo entendido q son un equipo de 2 personas verdad? Por lo menos sigo al artista en twitter jaja, buena onda microonda

Nice concept, and really well made too. I'm too much of a brainlet for games like this so getting high scores is out of the question though. Controlling using the arrow keys on an isometic view can get awkward, and you'd have to use a mouse to navigate the rest of the game anyways, so I think it might be better if you could rotate the dice by tapping on the tile you want to go to. Combo system on a puzzle game like this is pretty cool so good job on that!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! You are the best!

Hey eldelnacho! It's been a while.

I played your game hoping to see Alba, or Camilla, but they were no where to be found. I honestly cannot tell what changes you made since the last time I played. I checked the tutorial and puzzles again, because I thought maybe the new characters would be there instead, but nope.

Since this game is about the Arcade to me, that's what I mostly played.

Just like last time, starting at higher levels seems to be the best strategy for getting higher scores.

I can sometimes get combo x3, but x4 and x5 are pretty much luck based for me. I am not able to plan ahead all my kyubu moves. I tend to just quickly go for all the appearing tiles, but at higher levels getting combos is very important. I would like to see some advanced tutorials (not in form of puzzles, but instructions) that would go into most common important patterns for all the depth, because I would like to get better at the game.

Anyway, my current top score is:

I think to get any higher I would either need to get really lucky with higher combos, or actually learn the game and improve to be able to plan for combos, but it's really hard to do that on your own. I do not remember what my past high scores were.

Maybe I should try to record myself playing the game, so then you could see some common mistakes I make. A downloadable version of the game would be something I really would like to see at some point.

Also, you don't seem to have volume sliders in your game?

Edit:

nevermind the old high score. New high score:

I think I got a combo x4 once, but I got much luckier with getting x3 combos more consistently. It sure did not feel like it was that that much down to my skill. I can plan for some things in advance if I got space, but on higher levels, running out of free tiles can really spiral out of hand.

Hello Webbie! So nice to read you again.

It wasn't luck my friend, you are getting better at the game! (Unconsciously at least). There is a lot of luck involved, I'm not gonna lie about that but from what I've seen with each of my friend's playthoughs is that they always get progressively better each time they play, especially if these are sessions right next to each other, they might not feel like it, but they always more points each time they play.

And yes honestly, the game is almost the same as before, there's a lot of behind the scenes work, some optimization (for mobile mostly), I changed the grid tiles of the arcade mode to a 7x7 grid instead of a 7x8 as it was before, added a music select option in the settings menu, etc. But overall it is mostly the same as I've been focusing more on the artwork and voice acting these past few months (I'm quite slow at that).

Here's a little sample :)

Sorry for the late reply, I got siick these last few days. I also played your game man! I'm gonna leave my comments in there too!
Thank you so much for playing the game again! You are the best!

I hope you get better soon.

That is not the case for me at all. Most of my scores are about 60k, but sometimes I end at 30k, and my high score is 226690.

Yeah, the grid felt smaller. I thought I was just misremembering.

Your game is full of best girls. I wonder how they are going to be implemented into the game. I definitely look forward to seeing more in future.

eldelnacho, I forgot to ask you something in my initial replies to you, and I don't really see you in threads. I started making figurines of different agdg games and putting them as easter eggs in my game. Let me know if you would be interested to have figurine of e.g. Teresa in my game, and if yes then we can go over details.

Developer

Webbie, so sorry for the late reply, I got caught up with mother's day and me mom birthday (really close together, kek).
That sounds like a really interesting idea :O
Let's talk when you can

Submitted

No worries. I am known for late replies myself.

The figurines have a chance of replacing potted decorations in my game. They can only spawn if nsfw is disabled, but it is still an adult game, so I understand if you would rather not have a figurine associating your game to mine. Some of aggy daggy figurines are already in the game. I plan the figurine project to be an ongoing thing, and I already have a backlog of figurines waiting to be made, but I am asking devs for permissions in advance.

Pretty cute game, I love the music it really fits the theme, however not sure if it’s just the web version, but it doesn’t loop seamlessly. For being a japan-themed game, there’s not nearly enough eye candy and seizure-inducing visual effects.

Developer

Thank you so much! Yes there's a lot of work to be done! I'm working on a lot more content, that includes more characters, vfx, among many other things! Thanks again!

Here's a sample of the new characters:

(Thank you so much for playing it! *I kneel*)

of course we are just mere mortals compared to the godly display of a developer playing their own game. By the way, you should record playing it one day, so maybe I can see what I do wrong. There are definitely some shorter patterns I am not aware of.

That is addictive. From the name, to the song and the "CHAIN" effect.
I love what you did here. Reminds me of the early 2000's when we had a wave of games carrying this colorful and full-of-joy vibe. I specially feel that in the soundtrack.
I don't know if it would distract the player, but part of me wishes the witch's portrait would animate when we do a "CHAIN" and during "Game Over". Something simple would do, like facial expressions and a small change in angle. Just a thought, though. This game feels complete already.

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! I will try to include more facial expressions in the future if time allows it! Thanks again! I'm super glad you liked it!

Amazing polish and great concept. My arcade score 44450.

Developer

Thank you so much! That is quite an impressive score! Most people get around 10,000 points on their first playthrough!

Already a pretty decent game as-is.

The buttons you used for the title screen are weird. And either have a layout with tutorial as the first thing or sweep it away to a "sorry if I couldn't indirectly teach you how to play the game" corner. It definitely should not be at the center with a button that's as large as the others.

Puzzle introduces strategies for playing arcade, which is good. You should have an undo button for this mode, because it quickly becomes borderline unplayable without it.

Directional controls feel completely nonsensical and unpredictable when moving around pillars.

The presentation is a tad too over-the-top saccharine for me but I guess that worked for Puyo Puyo.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback and kind comments!! You are the best! I'll add your your comments to my notes!

I had a lot of fun with your game. Sweet and simple, a real treat!

The music, graphics, and everything is really great. The only thing I could even say is why the "promotion" buttons being so blatant, otuside of that I have no complaints.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the nice comments!

The art is good and I can tell there's a lot of polish that went into this, but it also made me realize I'm horrible at spatial reasoning!

The big thing I noticed was how disorienting vertical movement was in Puzzle Mode. I mean it makes total sense if you stop and think of what your movement input would do, but it still might help to help the player conceptualize their movement.

Developer

Thank you Slamtaro, yes there's a lot to be worked on! I tried your game just now, I will give you some feedback.
