Thoroughly enjoyed this one. It reminded me of the days when I was playing Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father and other such amazing adventures. The only feedback I can really give is: 1) when text is finished during the intro the slow scroll of the desk area should finish early 2) like in the aforementioned GK series and others of it's ilk I would like to have more general questioning options with characters as this helps flesh out who they are and the world in general 3) I wish there was more to interact with. I know this was just a demo though so I can only hope there will be more hidden little tidbits of information to be found when clicking around!

all this press F2,3,4,etc to change resolution stuff is temporary. when the rest is done i'll make a proper main menu where you can change that.
i guess i should've been more specific about the Cellshock building but Mac does give tips about what to do when you click him, and Van gives you the building's number during the phone call.
your suggestions about the dialog with the client are pretty valid, i deadass forgot to write any lines about the payment at all so oops.
the energy mechanic does have its purpose. there will be a deadline to the investigation and the game will also have some action bits; too early to talk about them in detail but suffice to say energy will act as health. these action parts are also the reason why the game is a sidescroller in the first place and why i don't think all-mouse controls would work, atleast for now.

Ey man, this was a pretty fun demo.
Like right off the bat it has a pretty great artstyle. As Khryse said, the window size is very small, maybe you should have it defulted to a bigger size? (I did resize it to the biggest size though)
I got through it fairly quickly, it's a pretty straight line experience as it is. I'm curious, I spent some of the cash in the start on candy and soda, if I had spent too much money on that [Spoiler] would that be a soft lock since I woulnd't have enough cash for vodka? [Spoiler]
The objective music with the walkman is really nifty too.
A bit nitpicky maybe, but your cursor and your game screen are two different resolutions, it's kind of a hickup in the art, but maybe that's just me.
Overall, real potential here, I can see it turning out great!
thanks for the feedback! regarding the vodka part, no. there's an empty bottle in that trash can near the repair shop. you can fill that with water and give it to the hobo and he won't notice.

This was virtually unplayable for me, from the tiny window size that refused to go fullscreen, to the intro crawl that was broken and crawled so slow i couldn't take it and hit ESC, which showed me a girl waving goodbye, but the game did not exit. At least you can hit ESC again and again to make her twinkle and reappear again and again.
did you press F2, 3 or 4? if you did and the window size didn't change then i guess it's a bug lmao
guess i'll just wait for more feedback, none of my friends had this problem.
