wow, this was so cute!!! really love the art in this game, all the sprites look so detailed with every frame contributing towards an amazingly expressive animation that the sprites are tied to! it was a delight to see what cool thing i'd see everytime i further progressed through the game! the sound effects also contributed to the playful tone of this game, really nice job here (really love the song, was a bop)!
the gameplay reminds me of those retro point and click adventures where you just drop right in and play around with the game's little mascots (in this case being the cats). it was fun discovering the rules of the game and realizing what i needed to do (my first ending was the red ending xd)! also liked the integration of aberration in the theme, i was surprised when i first encountered it!
overall, this was super cute! the jamming cats ending was definitely my favorite xd. great work!
i like the goofy green guys jammin out :) good pixel art, sound effects, all of it
spoonsweet my goat thank you for an amazing submission
Aww yissss, the Acerola certification of origin
Thanks for dropping by and giving it a go! And thanks for awesome jam!
Hi, really an original game. The animations are just fantastic, they look so smooth and polished. At the start I was a little bit confused but after a while, I was still confused, finally in the end I understood how confused I was. Jokes aside, I think it fits the theme of the jam very well, the gameplay is always unexpected and "chaotic" in a way. Love the sound design on this too, very satisfying. In the end, I really liked your interpretation of "aberration", mine was a little bit on the darker side :3.
Really unique game, keep it up and good luck with it! <33333
Hey LapoLinguini! Thanks for giving it ago, and for your kind words! You won against confusion hehe!
Np, loved it <333
One of the more creative games I played this jam. Liked all the puzzle aspects.
Hey MacSpain! Thanks for the support! Glad you stuck with it!
Excellence in art and delightful absurdity. If anyone (including the developer) claims to understand what is being conveyed here they are probably wrong. The meaning of art is either for the artist or for the audience, in this case I like to think it's both. Bravo.
P.S. Good sound design, really good, thank you for the good sound design.
Hello Deerbell,
I was smiling to myself all day today reading your comment. I do indeed make claims as to understanding what is being conveyed here hehe.
Thanks for the support for the visual and audio design, I know I have to make more effort about the actual game design, as I am sure many people are also confused with the "delightful absurdity". Truly thank you again for playing and expressing yourself so uniquely :D.
PS: I hope to make a devlog about this game in the next 3 years, will try to ping you a message if you want to have another look and we can discuss about what is conveyed :D
Took me a while to understand it but I think the art and animations were very pretty so I didn't give up. How do I get the ending with the red monster? (In case there's more to that path)
Hello Dear Dear!
Thanks for playing and dropping a comment! (thanks also for not giving up!)
Thanks for asking! Basically the Green Book is the source. From it, you choose where to send your energy cats. Blue panel feeds blue book, Red will feed the red. So you can keep feeding the red panel (its "hidden", you need to look with your mouse). let me know how it goes!
yeah I know, I figured that! I found the red demon guy snoring in a room but I wasn't able to unlock the associated ending (no game over screen associated with red). Do I keep spending points on red? Because when I did, I kept getting the "green book" ending
awesome! Yep! Basically if you give 3 reds, and touch it, you should be done
Very unique game. “What the hell is going on?” was my initial impression, but there are clearly underlying rules at play; still trying to fully grasp them though. The animations are really well done, by the way.
Hey Learliet! Thanks for playing and dropping a comment! Haha, thanks for capturing that moment! (Can I share your comment with people or you prefer I blur your name out?).
You have a set of actions you can complete. Points in dice go up (“no language” was part of the constraints, so not even Arabic numerals used hehe). Then, depending where you invested your points, you might get one of many endings.
Thanks for playing around with it and thanks for the kind words!
