What do you like about your game?
The setting and the movement. I think the two characters open up a lot of unique platforming setups. Especially with the added time limit of the rain.

What a game! The art, the music, the mech that keeps you safe from rainfall that mysteriously drains your health. Immaculate vibes, my friend. Well done.

The only reason I didn't play more of it was because I got stuck and wasn't sure how to progress after unlocking the double jump.

Developer

Yeah I got to make it more obvious where to go after double jump. Thank you for playing :D

Hi, the game is truly beautiful, in particular I loved the art style. I have just one tip. Don't be afraid to make a smaller map but full of interactive things. Some times there were this long sections where I found myself just walking straight. You just need to work a little bit on the level design of the game as, overall, it is awesome. You managed to do a ton of content in a very small portion of time, which I admire a lot. I saw people gave you some in depth feedbacks so I will not waste your time, as I agree with most of them. Again, really really good job, keep it up, it would be interesting to see it being developed further in the future! :333

Good luck with it! <3333

Thank you. I will for sure redo some of the level design and add in the stuff that is missing still.

Thanks for playing :D

How did you make this masterpiece in such a short amount of time?

Seriously the game just keeps going and the abilities you gain are insane. The dive mechanic would make a great platformer, I love it. The ambiance is on top and the art is great. I really wanted to finish it but unfortunately I didn't manage to. I got 3 fuel charges, the dash, double jump, dive, and surf abilities. The level design is great but I think you could use some more indications in a full release (or maybe a map you could open). Great game!

+ Extra Godot Bonus point <3

Thank you :D
I couldn't agree more with the point on the level design. It is pretty much the single most lacking thing in the game. Absolutely wanting to revisit it and playtest a lot.

From the abilities you have I feel like you pretty much saw everything. The game doesn't really have an end yet (only a text message where the finale was supposed to go).

Thank you for playing

Couldn't get to the end, got stuck at some point right after getting flight. I really like the music and the graphics, pretty good pixel art there, you chose a pretty good aesthetic and you're pretty good at pixel art overall, same things for the VFX. Rain looked pretty good, the shots were simple but had detail, particles on hit with sleek sound effects. Controls were just on point too, the mech felt heavy while the man was more precise,  It's a shame I couldn't get to the end, at least judging by the screenshots it looked like there was a lot more than I saw.

No worries I expected as much that most people probably wouldn't make it to the end. I wish I had been able to playtest the level design.

Thanks for Playing :D

Hey there, I decided to give your game another chance since I saw so little of it. I found out what I was supposed to do, I had to go up some one-way platform that I thought was a ceiling and got another ability, I think it was the double jump? Anyway I played for hours, kept running around in circles until I eventually found some new ability, rinse and repeat and I still haven't finished the game. This game is huge and I'm amazed at how much you work you've done!

I think I have better feedback now:

  • It's too easy to get lost for three reasons that add up together: the map is too open (you can move in every single direction), there is no minimap and every zone looks the same. Whenever I got a new ability I could remember some place I saw previously that could probably use that ability, the problem was remembering how to get to that place. This was why I really spun around in circles for way too long before finding those places I knew I saw earlier. Having a minimap would really help, or at least making more well delimited zones that look different instead of this one big square, trying to remember where something was could be literally in any point of it.
  • Some challenges it wasn't clear when I could do them or needed an upgrade. There are a lot of points where you can just barely make it with some specific set of abilities and I didn't knew if I just had to keep trying or if I had to go back to running around in circles hoping to find something I missed. There were a lot of bubbles you could barely reach with a double jump, some places that required the surf ability that you also could barely get to the walls, and some platforms you could barely reach with one fuel pack, after the second these diminish.

I got stuck after finding the surf in the ground ability, which I honestly don't know what it's meant to do. I only got 2 fuel packs and I don't know how long the game is supposed to go, it says in your page that you couldn't finish it but the screenshots show you with 5 fuel packs. There were a lot of places I couldn't reach so I know I haven't seen everything.

I wanted to play your game again because I knew there was way more to see and I felt like you love metroidvanias, and I love them too. I think you get what's important: ambiance, good art and good music, and above all, exploration. So yeah, good job. You really did a lot in a short period of time.

Thank you for all the feedback. I will take it into account when making the update. This is a big help, thank you. =)

FINALLY a Godot game that can display graphics on my pc. I liked too the mechanic of changing between the pilot and the mech great concept, but in regards of movement I cannot say that I liked the loong wait to get the boost to recharge.

In another note, I would comment on the graphics, which looked nice on your screenshots, since almost every visual effect that you put in your screenshots didn't appear for me (rain and after-image). Plus the pixelart was really well done, did you made it yourself? Sorry if I sound rude, I would like to know how to get better at pixelart for a project I have in mind (specially in choosing  the right color palette).
Also, I got confused in which way was the mech was facing at first, can't pinpoint exactly why.

Thanks for the compliment on the pixel art.

There are many nice beginner tutorials on YouTube. I especially recommend AdamCYounis.  Generally when making pixel art it is important to keep iterating on it until you get to a nice result.  For color palette you can check out https://lospec.com/ . It's where I got mine from. Just make sure to credit the creator.

About the effects not showing: That's strange. But you said that your PC can't render Godot games in general. That might be worth looking into. But without further information I can't really say what the issue is.

The after image should display tho. Only some moves that are unlocked later use it, so you might not have gotten to those.

(also there are upgrades for the boost but there should probably be one earlier)

Thank you for playing :D
