I have a first person roguelike:

Stalwart Heart by Jerburger (itch.io)

What a game! The art, the music, the mech that keeps you safe from rainfall that mysteriously drains your health. Immaculate vibes, my friend. Well done.

The only reason I didn't play more of it was because I got stuck and wasn't sure how to progress after unlocking the double jump.

the environment art is really unique and fascinating.

i wasn't really sure what I was intended to be doing. I assumed that once I got my score high enough I'd be able to do something with my left hand, perhaps a move that could take out the red floating head. I never found out though.

lovely artwork. giving off strong "Kingdom" vibes. my only critique there is the parts with non-uniform pixel size.

I was pretty engaged, I think at one point the difficulty turned up to about 11 without warning.

But overall, well done!

Woah.

This was a subversive masterpiece. Anyone on the fence about trying this one should give it a try. There's more to it than the creator let on :)

A simple idea executed well, I like it!
I like how you incorporated the theme, too (even if the part where it inverts the controls was frustrating, it certainly fits, lol)

Well done

having the enemy dinosaurs slam into the camera was my favorite thing that happened to me today.

Very impressive! I love the artwork and the world. The controls feel amazing for the most part. It seems like you accelerate to the right pretty hard, and that was difficult to get used to in some of the platforming segments I encountered. But I liked it! I hope you keep working on it because I want to see this as a finished product.

I applaud you.

Yours was one of the first I tried. Not bad!

Thank you!

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback! For sure the biggest problem is probably that you can avoid the difficulty scaling altogether if you play your cards right. I'm really looking forward to patching it once the jam is over.

I had 5 butterflies and the bees converged upon me faster than 6 year olds to ice cream at a birthday party.

Here's mine, thanks man!

wow, i could NOT finish it.

I liked it. I liked the theme the art and everything.

One thing that works against it is that its similar to celeste in difficulty, but it has fewer checkpoints and a time limit. Every time i got to the chase sequence I'd start getting flustered, and I couldn't just sit back for a minute to compose myself, I had to keep trying or I wasn't going to make it (I didn't)

Mechanically, I think the game is really good. Realizing I could chain dashes almost instantly to get across a room faster was a pretty cool moment. I think the one thing that needs work in that department is the wall jump. I can't tell if I'm doing it wrong or if it just doesn't give you any height. Its not super easy to use.

All that aside, I liked it enough to make more than one full 9 minute attempt. Well done.

If you have time, here's mine!

this was super good! The art, music, and platforming were all excellent.
I think the main criticism was that the gimmick was really hard to get used to, but it sure made it interesting once you figured out how it worked

specifically, I'd assumed for a long time that I was controlling the echo somehow, not that it was "echoing" my movements. (It was literally in the name, though, so I'm not sure how I missed that...) Once I figured it out, it was still kind of difficult to use, but MAN it felt cool when you used it correctly.

So far this is easily in my top 2. Excellent work.

I do not play very many horror games, so maybe this isn't saying much, but I was incredibly uneasy playing this, lol.

I loved the art style. I'm a sucker for low res, low poly, anything of that nature.

Now for my critiques:

I didn't really feel like I understood what i was supposed to do: it took me a long time to realize I could actually read all of the posters. They were pretty good hints, though.

I never really figured out what I was supposed to be doing with the countdown? I saw it on the TV, but i wasn't sure how it got there, and I wasn't sure what "kept it going"

Overall, it succeeded as a horror game. At one point when I heard a knock I tried to hide behind the TV. Good stuff.

Nice aesthetic.
Pretty fun, good signalling and feedback.
one thing that held it back was having to push down in order to dash instead of just having dash mapped to a button. I think it would be easier to pick up that way.

Really impressed! I finished it and had a good time doing it!

Here are my criticisms:

It was occasionally difficult to understand where I needed to go to progress. On the first gravity level specifically, it seemed hard to gauge which jumps I was being asked to make, and that left me scratching my head about whether the game was really requiring such tight platforming or if I was missing something.

On the other end, I was really impressed with all the ideas you were able to execute on in only two weeks. I love unreal, but it can be kinda rigid when you want something unusual. Well done.

I came up with a system where you could recover hearts, but that specific heart would be corrupt from that point on. Any time you lose or even gain that heart back by normal means, the enemies get a permanent buff.

lol, well played

best run: 75.5m
neat, well executed idea!

I thought your artwork looked nice, and at the best times the controls were nice and snappy. The music slowing down was a nice touch and very effective at clueing me into the premise the first time I played.

Here's my feedback:
Even though you clearly implemented variable jump heights, I found it pretty hard to do short hops when I wanted to.
At full speed, the game feels much harder than when it starts slowing down. I found myself dying after the very first clock nearly every time because I would just full speed slam into the spikes or waltz right of the edge without jumping

Overall, I liked it. Nice work!

Very nice!
I thought the visuals were very well done.
The humor was a bit on the nose but definitely got a few chuckles out of me

good work!

I actually found a free plugin for exactly that! "Directional and Planet Gravity"

There is no gameplay, true. But there is indeed one heck of a main menu. I award this submission 3 golden bananas for the main menu specifically.

I'd love it if you showed mine!

yeah, I see it now, too. thanks!

I submitted my project (Stalwart Heart), but the time it says I submitted is off by like 30 minutes, and my project doesn't appear in the feed, and I can't find it by searching. When I look at my itch.io page, it does say it's a submission for the jam, but I'm a little concerned it's not going to be seen. Should I try resubmitting?
