Great work on this! I love the neon graphic style. I have to say though I am impressed you managed to get the download size so small. Real impressive. A great and fun one to play.
Thank you! The outlines are a screen-space process, using differences in both depth and normal to detect edges. There's a few artifacts, especially around doorways, but overall I'm very happy with the results and I appreciate you mentioning it!
This is a great example of a simple game polished to perfection. Everything is so smooth and well put together.
The thing that caught me off guard was the complete settings menu. You don't see settings menus that often in jam games, and I've never seen one with so many options.
I absolutely loved this little game! And I do mean little!! I was constantly amazed that you managed to get this game in at about 13mb (uncompressed)! I get the graphics are simple and all, but it’s not often I see a game keeping a low byte footprint! I am curious what engine you used for this game, or was it custom?
I am a sucker for simple, yet pleasing visuals, and this game has some very nicely presented visuals! It’s very cool to see what can be done with even just some cubes presented in the right way!
Movement felt a little slow at first, but then felt very natural for the over all environment. The baddies were easy, but still challenging in their own way. I was totally taken off guard by the fact my pistol had limited ammo. In hind sight, not sure why I was surprised when my ammo ran out, but I was, and being chased with no ammo in hand was rather intense!
Honestly, I don’t have any criticisms for this game. I thought it was great and executed amazingly! Excellent work!
I streamed my time with the game. If you’re interested in watching, it can be found here.
Amazing how small and lightweight the game is, I really like the neon outlined shading and how the music changes when in combat situations. Alas, I found too many empty filing cabinets to ever bring down the Mega Corp.
Loved the concept and the message! Got stuck in the purple levels, too hard there lol. Are the levels procedurally generated? I couldn't really tell because I was always lost anyway lol
Thanks! It's a mix of procedural layout and some hand-placed rooms. The layout stays the same when you die and respawn, but starting a new game will generate a new layout.

Thanks! Most of the UI, including the options menu, was borrowed from prior projects. That's the only way I got this done in time!

Thank you! I use a custom engine, and I try to keep it pretty lightweight.
