Issue resolved
So, my first payout is stuck in review at day 16 as of this post. I know it's not as bad as others, but still it's nerve wrecking when it goes beyond 14 days when you have a game to run. I've already opened a support ticket with itchio yesterday, so that's 1 day ago.
Just wondering does anyone recommend making another payout while this is ongoing? Or do anything? I am concerned about letting people continuing to purchase from my itchio store while this is ongoing.
While waiting, you can make sure all your tax info is valid and current.
Itch does a bad job of notifying you about specific problems. Probably because they do not do such things directly, but have an external company do that. I think some people have had the mails from that external service in their spam folder or something similar.
I remember one case where someone cried havoc how Itch was stealing his money or whatever. Turned out that the tax info was 3 years old and therefore outdated.
Ah I made that mistake recently at the start of the year, so the tax info has been validated just recently. So I'm good for another 3 years. Really got nothing else left I can do from my side. Be nice if there was though, I do wonder if San Fran has a public holiday does it affect the waiting period and does their 14 days actually cover weekends?
Everyone good news, the payout was sent today. Allow me to share my experience with itch support, who knows if it can help.
The request for support email was sent on 10/6/25 (9:49 AM, GMT+8), the email contained the request for help and attachment of the tax status, account receiving payment status, and the payout ID info.
2 days later, a reply from itch came (9:39 AM, GMT+8) and the payout was cleared.
