Hey all, it appears that a few ISPs are having connectivity issues with our CDN. Our services are up and running and we are not experiencing any downtime on our end. I’ll try contact our CDN to see if they are having any service issues at any of their local points of presence. If you could reply to me with what ISP you’re using (and where in the world) if you’re having issues accessing files/images that would be helpful.

Thanks

I'm using PLDT (Philippines)

PLDT (Philippines)

(Probably related.)

PLDT (Philippines)

This isn't a localized issue. Thumbnails are referring to img.itch.zone which is unreachable and not just from the Philippines.

Not really. Most, but maybe not all "down detectors" check if they can reach a "web page". In the case of most CDNs, they don't have one and most like are using a different domain name compared to their company's webpage.

Those tools will just load https://img.itch.zone/ which always return an error code since it’s not a valid image URL for our image processing server. It’s not a good way to detect if any of our specific services are responding.

help

So, I used a Free VPN (which is a terrible move, I know, I just wanted to verify and stuff) and it works now. The images load, the games load and download although it took multiple retries. How come it was ok before?  Can my comment be of any help at all?

Hello! I'm experiencing problem on the website. When I play or download a game. It always end up in "Can't reach this page" I've followed a lot of tutorial to fix this but it doesn't work. All of the devices I use does the same. My ISP is PLDT from Philippines. Hope it will fix soon because I really love Itch.io!

I'm using Vodafone (former UPC, from Hungary). Thanks.

Do you have an ad-blocker that is running?

Try turning off all your extensions and refreshing the page.

I tried turning off all my extensions and then refreshing the page, and it still doesn't work

Maybe you could try a different browser?

Does this happen on any other sites?

This doesn't happen on any other sites, and it also doesn't work on Firefox

I identified the cause of my issues to one of the ISPs I am using. -_-

Same. Can't download any games. It's been a week now.

Are all of us in this thread using PLDT (PH) as their ISP?

Sorry for the late response. I've let our admins know, to make sure they see this topic. Otherwise I'm not sure what's going on. The site works fine for me and I haven't heard any complaints elsewhere.

try using a vpn it works for me now its maybe because of the PLDT (PH)  I guess

It's been a week and still no fix. I can't even upload or download my game or any game from the site.

I highly doubt itch is to blame here, unless you're not from the Philippines and your ISP isn't PLDT

huh thats odd.

Hello,

I am living in Hungary, and at home I also cannot reach any images on itch.io. Strangely, I could at my girlfriend's place and at my mother's place, both have different ISP than me. What could I do with this? If it's the internet service provider should I call them and ask what the hell? Or I can add some exceptions somewhere on my computer or rather to the wifi / router as not my tablet nor my laptop able to reach itch.io images.

It's like that for months now, I think I saw it working for a day or two a couple of weeks ago, but this thing persist.

EDIT: It was working at Fríday afternoon, today I saw pictures, but gifs wouldn't play (showed the first frame as a normal picture) but since it's not working again.

I also have the same problem :(( PLDT Philippines too

its also not working for me pls fix

I highly doubt itch is to blame here, unless you're not from the Philippines and your ISP isn't PLDT

Also having the same problem. Any way to bypass it?

Use a VPN

I just published a devlog and while writing or editing I can see all of the in-line images as expected but when viewing the published article, the in-line images are gone. I am in Canada, Rogers ISP. Any help?

Admin

This sounds like a separate issue, like there’s a problem with the markup you provided. In any case, if you want us to debug something you should link directly to the page with the issue.

Also, I just want to note that you replied to the person who made this topic, and not anyone on the itch team who can help you.

Hello,

the link that doesn't work is basically the whole itch page's all images (avatars, gifs, screenshots). Any texts, download links are working at all times. Images sometimes work normally, and sometimes at half capacity (?) meaning the gif covers are not playing when mouse cursor hovering on top, but images and avatars work.

At least this is what I experience whenewer I check itch.io. As I wrote above, I am from Hungary, and it seems with any other provider it works, with mine (what I have at home) isn't. I don't know if it's a setting I should check on wifi/router, as tablet (ipad) and laptop also does the same (simultanaously working or not working), or it's something that the proveder does time to time, like it's a speed/connection issue on the provider's side.

Thank you for your help.
