doesn't load on waterfox (webconsole doesn't report anything on the matter)

Didn't test that browser... maybe some new js syntax isn't supported. Will look into it...

Your death/reload function seems to generate the world and only after overwrite the old save file.
The consequence is that the Perma-Death can be avioded by simply pressing F5 after dying. It reloads the browser and stars the game from the last save point including all items.

There has been a small fix. You will still have lost progress after refreshing the page, but the world can still be the same, even with an empty seed. To avoid having the world being regenerated each time you die, i would recommend using a seed. 

I cant load up the game. Every time I try to play after pressing enter game it just leads to a white screen

also sometimes map moves without reason, Maybe there is some reason like mouse which idk about?

You can jump on top of vending machines and sometimes coins while holding down to clip through the floor.

the double jump can be used as a triple jump if you hold down space and then press it again. also, the moving platforms, when touching the ground, you can use to no clip.

liiiitle late to the party on the bug reports though. my bad.

you can also no clip by using the grappling hook and pressing down EXACTLY after. i love exploits.

and for some reason the screen is also is a link to your website and wont let me plan i just found out hoe to do multiplayer when this happened please fix

You need to do a hard reload of the page, so the js files are updated in the browser cache. Or in Chrome click right and choose inspect from the context menu to open dev tools, in the Network tab, enable the checkbox for "Disable cache" and then refresh the page.

Just played a regular game with Permanent Death OFF. After reading one of the Lore-Bubbles I fell into spikes and respawned. For the remainder of that game there were no more Lore-Bubbles in ANY map segment. I tried to CLEAR Hopworld of data and started again, but played a whole game with no Lore-Bubbles AT ALL until I got to Mount Hop. Did I divide by zero and implode the universe? How do I fix this? I'm using Safari on a Mac.

when all the lore bubbles in the normal world have been shown, they never return unless you clear something in the local storage of your browser.

Sometimes when you have coins and go to a vending machine, instead of redeeming your coins they just disappear and it says "no coins = no sale"

Theres this glitch where you can clip into wall after spamming a bit of grapple, while this probably isn't intentional game design, I feel you should leave this in, because it makes it just that much more fun

Edit: I forgot about this one, but theres this bug where a coin is still on your map even after collecting it, its pretty annoying because it makes you search for a coin that isn't there

hmm, haven't been able to reproduce the coin bug yet. Will have to look deeper. Do you have any context about when it happens and when not? Is it the map coins or the powerup coins? Did you already trade in the coin?

I believe it happened after I collected the coin though I did not turn in the coin yet. Even after turning it in, it still wasn't fixed. Im playing this on a Macbook if that helps.

the ropegun is a ridiculously busted item and i love it so much because of it

basically, while the ropegun is active, the player has zero collision with floors/ceilings (collision with vertical walls still works fine though). this is most easily demonstrated by standing on any solid ground and pressing down+b. the player will just phase through the floor.]

it goes without saying, but with enough mastery this kinda makes walls more of a suggestion.

 

probably the most busted part of this is that if you use this to clip through the upper boundary of the hopworld, ou get teleported to mount hop early. hopworld speedrun strats 2025. (and, if you place a teleport flag in the hopworld before, you get to teleport back out of mount hop.)

 

in conclusion this is why i think the ropegun is one of the most fun items in any videogame ever. thanks for coming to my tedx talk

I know it is the most busted item. It nullifies most of the other power ups. That is why I recently updated the generation of the sequence so it is the most difficult one to find.

In previous versions you had to find all the coins to find mount hop. This no longer necessary. Basically Mount Hop is located above all the rooms. So now the "ropegun" is actually the "key".

Also finding Mount Hop doesn't wipe your data anymore. So you can still collect all coins after that.
