Langar looks like a cute font.

You can safely disregard this entire thread, actually.

Hi, we deleted this game jam (we mean cancelled, not deleted just per se) due to the lack of interest from the Itch.io community. Please disregard this message.

We may re-attempt this game jam at some point in the future. Thank you for taking notice of this message.

History is still being made even in our day. Cheer up buddy, you have a role to play - today - in what future grade school students will be learning about, in another five hundred years' time!

We agree. This is a real pain in the butt when you create multiple games in Godot and archive them in the same HTML5 game for upload to Itch but Itch picks only one, and sometimes at random. We would like for someone to account for this, maybe explain what needs to be done to ensure that the lobby / index file works the way it should.

Are you using WordPress?

If so, upgrade to the latest version (I think it's v5.6) and use the "custom HTML" block in the Block Editor to include your game iframe embed in your blog post/page piecemeal, instead of as raw HTML code.

That should be enough. Let me know how it goes for you.

After what everyone on Earth has gone through in 2020, we definitely all want a better world. ;-)

Two comments:

  1. your game description sounds like freeform poetry, and that was a compliment.
  2. not everyone can open RAR files. Maybe provide an alt. download option?

Other than that, this game sounds interesting.

Augmented reality is the future of gaming. :-)

can't wait to hear your music :-)

A flying pistol? Sweet. Does it shoot (to kill)? Or is it an airsoft gun?

Hi, this is Idle Space Arcade Inc.'s "official" Itch presence, although, we're not a huge and well-known brand, so that's why "official" is in quotes. Our company's founder is Nathan Zhang, and, while he has his own (personal) Itch account... under America's "generally-accepted accounting standards", it's usually frowned-upon to use one's own personal accounts for a business without dedicating them, donating them, or investing them in said business, so he opened up a new Itch profile specifically for using Itch for his biz. This Itch user was mainly created to host & promote game jams, like this one, in order to get games made for our online arcade website for free.

And yes, we're open to collaboration.

As for what engines we like to use? Mostly GDevelop & Godot. Unity & Unreal we tend to keep at arms' length because we are a small firm with minimal capitalization, but we plan to grow aggressively, so it won't be long before we have to fork over some dough to use those two professional game engines. On the other hand, GDevelop & Godot are freeware, and so we prefer using those two.

It's nice meeting you folks. Stay safe, wear your mask, and have a nice day!

So basically... Destiny.

(The guardian's "ghost"/sidekick character is a robot with a mind of its own & Tyrion Lannister's voice [or... it used to have his voice].)

Sounds interesting. Unfortunately our company is not a mobile game developer, but instead, an HTML5 web-only (for now) game development firm & an owner of an online arcade website (and possibly more than one by this time next year), so it looks like we can't participate because we're probably not eligible given what we do (and don't do).

Is there a possibility of a collaboration or joint venture in the near- to mid-term future. We'd love to work with your firm on some currently unspecified opportunity in the future. Maybe we will think of something, or maybe you will. We'll watch this space. :-)

It's like dance dance revolution but far more difficult.

Interesting game you've made here. Drugs huh? I don't know where they fit into a business. Anyways, my own biz IRL is running an idle game jam on Itch this month. If you think that sounds cool and would like to submit an idle game or two to it, please let me know in a response. I look forward to hearing from you. :-)

It's a good start. You should keep improving your skills. This is good, but it can be better with some practice! We're doing an idle game jam on Itch, maybe we can help you find time for practice. If you are interest, please leave a reply to this comment. Thanks. :-)

Hey, this is a cool idle game you've made. We're running an idle game jam on Itch, would you like to come submit a few? Please leave a reply if you are interested. Cheers!

Nice little idle game you got here. We'd like to invite you to join in a game jam our firm is running on Itch for this month. Please respond if you're interested. :-)

itch.io Community » General » Game Jams · Created a new topic ISA Game Jam #1

Hi!

We're (the Idle Space Arcade company) promoting a game jam to get people to make games which we'll publish to our online arcade websites. If you make the top 25 games list in our ranked game jam, we'll publish your game to our website and you can link to the game's page to show off to all of your buddies and classmates (assuming you're of a certain age) or coworkers (assuming you're not of a certain age).

The game jam page is at: https://itch.io/jam/isa-game-jam-1

The jam is just titled "ISA Game Jam #1". It's what we hope will be the first of many we'll be running on Itch.io here. We plan to run one every month.

Thank you in advance, for your participation.

NB - for developers:  game developers will not be compensated for their games being published. Also, your games need to be licensed as CC-BYSA games or we will not publish them to our site. For more details, please click that link above.

NB - for Itch admins: we'd like to be put in the Jams Calendar, yes. May we be? Thank you!
