Hi guys,

Google and international gaming brand MY.GAMES (part of Mail.ru Group) have announced a joint accelerator programme for promising mobile game studios and projects. We’re calling it Game Drive.

Game Drive offers mobile game developers the opportunity to gain expert insights and analysis from Google and MY.GAMES on scaling games for a global launch. If your studio has a title already in soft launch and with a playable demo you can submit your project for consideration.

The most promising finalists will be invited to an exclusive Demo Day, where they will receive consultation from the Google and MY.GAMES teams on developing their projects further.

Support will include but is not limited to:

  • Expert assessment of a project and analysis of its business potential.
  • Consultation and recommendations for product improvement.
  • Networking and access to the MY.GAMES ecosystem and the company’s internal training projects.
  • Google experts’ evaluation of the project, focused on launching in international markets.
  • Opportunity to be considered for investments from MY.GAMES.

Developers have until Friday 8 January 2021 to submit their proposals for consideration.

For more details and if you would like to be considered, check out our game jam here: https://itch.io/jam/game-drive

We look forward to receiving your submissions!

Sounds interesting. Unfortunately our company is not a mobile game developer, but instead, an HTML5 web-only (for now) game development firm & an owner of an online arcade website (and possibly more than one by this time next year), so it looks like we can't participate because we're probably not eligible given what we do (and don't do).

Is there a possibility of a collaboration or joint venture in the near- to mid-term future. We'd love to work with your firm on some currently unspecified opportunity in the future. Maybe we will think of something, or maybe you will. We'll watch this space. :-)
