Hi there, and thank you so much for downloading and reviewing my game! The ten levels in the demo were originally intended to be training levels, though yeah, I can see how making them different from the other levels would be appealing to players. And giving the drones(those green things in the training levels), the ability to shoot back would no doubt make things more challenging, for sure, and hopefully I'll have a health system finished at some point, too.

Also, I'm honestly not sure I remember how I got to making the spacebar be the main selection key, TBH; definitely agree that Enter would be much more intuitive! (BTW, thanks letting me know about the settings thing-I'm not sure what broke there, but I'll look into it ASAP)

The music was a track I found here on Itch.io, but I'll definitely consider hiring someone to do some custom music for this game, for sure.

In any case, I really do appreciate y'all stopping by, and I hope you'll indeed stick around for further updates and the eventual final release!

Hi everybody. Sorry I'm late.

Game Title/URL: https://stevel1990.itch.io/coin-guy-charlie

Pitch/Information: Coin Guy Charlie was a game I created for this specific game jam-the idea for this game was that an everyman-type character(Charlie) is trying to collect coins for.....some reason or the other(haven't decided on a story yet), but there's a catch-his adventure may actually repeat itself all over again, at least if the player chooses(okay, I know, it's been done before, but....).

I'd like feedback on: I'm still a newbie at game design, so any positive feedback and/or constructive criticism is appreciated.

I need help on: Mainly menu design, end screens, etc., but also character design, too.

So, anyway, thanks to the jam organizers for hosting this jam and hopefully I can improve for next time!

Hi, everybody! I thought I'd share an update for my WIP space-themed top-down shoot 'em up, now in beta: https://stevel1990.itch.io/saucershooter

Hi there, Alessandro(or Ordnas if you prefer!). This looks interesting indeed-is there a backstory to this game just yet, or is that still TBD? Either way, this looks like it could be fun. Will subscribe for future updates. =)

Hi there, everybody. I'm a first time game developer who joined itch.io a while ago, and finally started working on my own games recently.

This is the first game I've ever been able to really work on, and it's basically a fairly simple top down shooter that was inspired by a number of games, and I was kinda sorta going for a vague futuristic-esque type of setting. I intend to have at least 50 levels or so when I'm done with development, along with a bunch of various types of enemies to take down and weapons one can use. Right now, though, apart from the fact I can't think of a name for this project yet, I also only have one enemy, and only one weapon for players to use. The photo below is very much in early stages(yes, I'll admit most of these assets are placeholders, though the tiles are not mine, and were part of a package that I downloaded for free from OpenGameArt.org), but it'll hopefully give you a basic idea of where I'm going with this, at least in terms of gameplay, as well as the setting.

Hi y'all. Here's a very, very early screenshot of a game I've been working on; I don't have a good name for it yet, but I'll definitely try to think of one.

Hi there, everybody. I'm SteveL1990, and I'm a longtime gaming enthusiast from the D/FW metro area in Texas, and I joined a few years ago but until recently mainly just browsed and occasionally bought a few times to try someday. Not only am I a gamer(my first console game was Super Mario 64, and one of the first PC games I ever played was SimCity 2000), but also, I decided to become a game developer, too, some time ago.

I have yet to publish anything, but am trying to work on a few projects and I hope that, sometime soon, I may be able to start posting about them on a (somewhat) regular basis. Hopefully.
