I appreciate it, I am glad you like the lights! I bit a bit more than I could chew, the battle system took a lot of time for me! I hope to continue to work on it as a passion project. I plan on making enough changes to separate the game as its own thing one idea I have already is implementing a mana system for the abilities rather than power points. Lots to think about and work on!

I appreciate it! I originally wanted to get to the first boss and then after it a rock would fall on the character haha. But yeah the scope got a little crazy coding the fights and I just don't have the time/energy to bang it out in the allotted game jam time. I hope to keep it as a passion project because I had a lot of fun.

aw yeah I appreciate it. I am going to try to keep working on this beyond the jam, I have some cool ideas in the works to separate the game out and make it a little less derivative such as making the abilities mana based rather than the power point system. I will definitely be thinking of more systems like that to keep the feel but make enough changes to make a unique experience

I hope you guys like it, I didn't have time to clean it up more and add more content but I wanted to submit something.

Hello all,  new here and this seems like a fun and structured way to work on some game dev. Is there a discord for this jam?

I really enjoyed the vibe, your voice, the often cool and eclectic images even clicking madly to find the next page all made the experience eep with nostalgia. Super glad you added gameplay elements with putting the picture together added a touch more interaction which felt nice alongside spurring my imagination as to what I was looking at.

Nice job with this. The end had me laughin

Will rate all who comment

only other thing was a little more differentiation between views, can be a bit disorienting

I got stuck on the bridge monster too, I love the whole vibe to this game, great job

Appreciate it, the experience helped me get used to the designing process in gbstudio so I am glad I got those systems in place but didn't get to actually using the money, filling out the inventory, or adding the full 1st dungeon at least, but the systems are there so it will be fun to work more on this project after the jam.

Hey good job getting your submission in even if you did not get to implement everything!

Lol that's one bad pilot! Good interpretation of theme

Really loved the web mechanics, only thing is when hanging sideways I think it would've been more intuitive to use up and down to move up and down the wall, other than that was really fun!

Just different enough from tetris to be a refreshing take. This one was pretty fun

I didn't think of the emotes dang lol - next time for sure

Im glad you enjoyed

I liked the music and sound effects a lot, scary when enemies show up haha. good job!

The controls took a bit but otherwise fun game

Awesome

Hi all, you can download the gb rom if you'd like at this link, https://tmdprogramming.itch.io/shinis-adventure-rom

This game is super polished my guy, good job!

You did a great job on this, I like that it was decently challenging fighting the enemies and great dungeon building.

I shouldve made it skippable haha

You should be able to walk into the engine room and walk up to a shuttle and it'll ask you if you want to return

I dont think saving works on web based, unsure.

More to come soon

Hello! A little late to the game this team of 2 (a writer/programmer and musician/programmer) are looking for a pixel artist for our role playing game. We have started mock ups of the game using free assets but to really bring our game to life we are in dire need of a talented artist! The game shares similarities to early pokemon games such as pokemon red/blue but with a more mature audience in mind and of course playing as a "monster".  Feel free to reply here or you can directly message me on discord my username is timd5607.

Mhmm, I need to polish the UI

I actually like this idea, or at least like a zoom out feature. Yeah the stacked momentum was added so late in development that I didn't have time.  Got panicky when I woke up 2 hours before needing to submit the game and still hadn't built the game lol

Forgot to put a reset button haha glad you liked the core idea though!

Swap button as an icon? Switch to correct form depending on checkpoint. *thumbs up!

Dude, I actually got to making my tree a christmas tree! Awesome ending!

I do like your game, I like that it is challenging, and I think the player movement was pretty good. The text was a bit weird and I want to play more to see how far I can get.

This was a really good game, the puzzles were brilliant. My only complaint really is the red platforms that are directional movers are easy to mix up.

I think this game is put together well and really liked the art. A few more game mechanics for me would maybe add some suspense other than just impending taxes haha.

Krosaa, good job man. Game is nicely polished and having the reverse runner where the collectables chase you is a sick concept.

What stood out for me was the physics especially at the top seemed very realistic and I like the cartoony graphics, good job!

Sadly my web build is missing sounds due to coding them in the OnSceneLoadFunction, the download for my game does have a full soundtrack at least!

Press space to remove all abilities from platforms. Didn't add a restart feature though. Thanks for the comment!
