Thank you! :)

NetHub, less of a game and more of a chat room, is now available for free on itch.io!

https://taugust.itch.io/nethub

NetHub is a small 3D chat room for your local network in the style of something from the 2000s-ish! Again, it is local only, this means that there is no central server, but you can only connect to devices on your own local network). Even though there is no goal in this game, there may be some secrets ;)

If you want you can check it out, I would appreciate it! But don't expect too much, it's my first real published 3D project.

I really liked the sprites! The gameplay is fun, although it's quite simple and you can win pretty easily. As a minor issue, the font is kind of hard to read. It's an enjoyable game. good job!

I really liked your game! The art style was really interesting and the story was nice. As others have mentioned the moving platforms are annoying because the player does not inherit their velocity. A bug I have found that makes the platforming practically trivial is if you dash while looking up, you gain a LOT of vertical velocity, making it very easy to clear gaps and jump over obstacles (if you try to climb on the building with this trick you get stuck in the mesh geometry, so don't try that). Again great game overall, good job!

Great game! I think the risk/gambling aspect was implemented quite well. Some minor issues I personally have are, for one, the hitboxes of enemies seem a bit small and it is almost impossible to hit enemies that are far away from the player due to the turning not allowing that much precision. Maybe there should also be some indicator if they were actually hit, like them flashing red or something.. The map is a bit confusing but maybe that's intentional (it's literally the backrooms). I really like the visual and audio design of the game and using the slot machine feels satisfying. A small bug I once encountered was an enemy spawning directly inside of me and getting stuck, making me take constant damage over time without being able to hit them. Overall it's a very enjoyable game, great job!

Nice little game! I died a few times at the end but I managed to collect all biscuits and complete the game. Good job!

I really like the woodpecker character! Sad it's not finished, but still nice work!

I really like the art style and the character animations. The controls feel good, but I would appreciate some Coyote time (especially for the last level). It's a nice short game, well done!

Good concept! I don't know why I'm being chased by teapots, or why a glass of tea would go to the bakery, but it's quite fun.

Nice little game! I liked the slow motion effect near the extra points.

I liked the game. It's quite hard, but still really enjoyable.

Really polished game, great art and music. Felt a bit easy and I didn't really feel a lot of risk, but still an amazing game for this jam!

The art is definitely the best part about this game, good job! The UI is also really cool, especially the minimap. Sadly, Biscuit died on my first run RIP. Overall, very enjoyable game!

Nice game, I spent way too long getting a decent score. Good job!

The game is really addicting, I spend quite long just excavating the surface and building long tunnels. I also really like the detail of the green slime getting bigger each day. Great job!

At first the player movement was a bit frustrating, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I think the visual aspect of the game is the best part, I really like the cat. The jumping sound was a bit annoying, especially when it played every time you press SPACE, ignoring if you actually jumped or not. It's a nice short experience, good job!

I liked the game. The concept of a hurricane hunter fits perfectly for the theme in my opinion. The sounds and the changing  skybox also build a great ambience. Good job!

The game concept is great, I also really liked the visuals. It's a hard game (died a lot), but still, great job, it was really fun!

I don't really know how the score is calculated, but it felt really good to get a LOT of points when just randomly throwing ingredients together. I'm kinda hungry ngl. Great job!

Great game, risking to shoot myself over some biscuits is a great concept for the theme. I had a lot of fun playing!

I really liked the art style and the humor! I was a bit confused by the combat, but overall I think it's really good, even though it's unfinished.

I really, really like the stretching and shrinking dachshund :D

Great game with good puzzles!

I think the idea for your game is great for the given theme. I also really liked the the fire and the way it spread. However, I think you have too little time to get things/people from inside the house before the fire consumes most of it. But overall, nice game.

I think the idea and the graphics are very nice, although I have some issues with the camera. As others mentioned, every time you die (which happens a lot :P) the camera pans away and back, which becomes annoying quite fast. Maybe the camera should also be centered on the player and not have the player on the bottom left of the screen, since you can't see enemies or obstacles that are below or left of you (which might contribute to the "risky" theme, now that I think about it). There might also be some quirks in the AI of the green enemies, like getting stuck or moving in unpredictable ways.

But besides that, I think you made a decent game, good job!

Good game! Arf, Arf!

I just played your game and I liked it overall. There were some minor annoyances, like the distance you have to fall to take damage being quite short, or some confusion about the level layout (but maybe that's just a skill issue on my side).

Good job!

My life for the Biskuing

Thank you for your comment!

So there is an explanation for you not loosing a live when blowing up (it's actually explained in the tutorial :p). When clicking on the biscuit, you get points depending on the current multiplier, but if you explode you loose points (more than you would gain, still depending on the multiplier). You only loose a live if your score falls below 0, meaning you could explode for a small amount of "damage" but still live.

As to the 4 lives issue, yes I was conscious about that, but I should probably make that more intuitive and make it so you loose the round when all lives are gone.

I'm glad to help! I actually found another small one. At the end of your round, if you dash right when the cards show up, you can actually choose a "loose 1 live" option without taking damage.

Hey, cool game! I had a lot fun playing your game, but I noticed a bug: when you have 1 heart left and choose an option that makes you loose a life, you "die" but the next round still starts. You keep your controls and when you beat the round the game continues as normal, except now you are immortal and the restart screen does not disappear.
