How does the game fit the theme?
The player is made to take risks to optimize saving as much stuff as possible before the house burns down, and additionally the reward is points labelled "Biscuits".

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
A few bits of scripts were borrowed and modified from my previous projects, wall texture was from an autotiling tutorial that I never managed to replace.

How many people worked on the game?

I think it is a cool concept and the art looks pretty nice. I get that time is an issue, but always try to get audio and UI stuff ready! It can really bring a video game to life .

A cool procgen prototype! The idea is creative too, I could see a finished game where you have to do that (already exists maybe). However, it is harsh to play in this state: the back button in the menu is annoying, I don't understood what were all items doing, and the character was too slow. It felt a bit sluggish in this very big map.

Congrats on finishing the jam though, and learning all those things :)

Sorry, but even with the tutorial I just couldn't figure out what to do or how. It seemed interesting but the visuals were way too zoomed out, there was no audio, and it had practically no feedback or directors outside of the wall of text for the tutorial. Interesting concept, but it felt way too underpolished.

I liked the core mechanics, its a fun idea o save people from a burning building. There were a few rough spots but id love to see what it looks like polished up.

I think the idea for your game is great for the given theme. I also really liked the the fire and the way it spread. However, I think you have too little time to get things/people from inside the house before the fire consumes most of it. But overall, nice game.

i loved the concept, and excustion is pretty good, although like the other comments said i felt the fire spread way too fast, wasn't even done with one room when the entire place burned down, also i dont really know where the fire extinguisher is,  but if the player doesnt already carry one i would like him to have one (hope you get what i said XD)

that been said fun game 8/10 :D

Pretty cool concept, if it got more fleshed out it would be great, there's a few issues but I've seen them already addressed in other comments, nice job on the jam game!

Refresh the page to go back is wild! But honestly the game has potential. I would make the fire spread slower so you have more time to react to it. Moreover I would make the map a bit smaller because most of the playtime i was running back to the safe area. If you keep working on the game I would also love to see more fire fighting action besides the fire extinguisher. Conclusion: Well done!

Yeah, I overscoped a little. This would have been great in the vastly superior 9-day jam format (7 is just long enough to make me think I can do quite a decent amount of fleshing out but not actually enough for that).

Refresh the page to go back is what happens when I have 30 minutes to deadline and my “back” button isn’t working.

Thanks for playing!

FIRE= BAD! Clear message :D But I guess the toilet isn't part of "the valuables"... Maybe I should have saved the people first.

I was giggling out loud when I wrote FIRE = BAD. Toilets are actually worth a decent amount, it’s just that 45 kilos of lumpy porcelain is not super easy to carry at speed.

Thanks for playing!
