Thank you so much for your review! I watched your video playthrough and oof yeah there's a lot I could work on. I do plan on releasing an update to this game and I'll be sure to work in your criticisms. Thank you for the level of detail, and thank you again for playing. It really means a lot!

thank you!

I beat the final level! Really unique concept. I love the idea of playing as the boss. Also that was a really good way to do a red herring by spawning and acting like you're the player at first. I'd love to see more interesting and cool bosses with different movesets. So much can be done with this idea. Great game!

I'm glad you like it! Thank you for playing.

Yeah, unfortunately that is a known bug which I since fixed in my bugfix update... on Windows haha. So in a way it is because you are a linux user. I will upload some new versions for linux and mac. Anyways I modified balance a bit and yes the camera shake has also been addressed. I do really like the splash idea and it was definitely something I was debating adding originally but unfortunately ran out of time. Thank you for bringing attention to those versions tho-I will release a patch today for all platforms and a bigger update is planned down the line. Thank you so much for your detailed comment and for playing my game!

Thank you for the super detailed comment! It really means a lot you liked the music (I was a massive fan of your games music as well lol).  I did some testing and you're right about the lag. Your points about shader initialization didn't even occur to me because I figured Godot 4.4 had included new ubershaders to mitigate that stutter entirely, but thank you for bringing it up because it would have never come to my attention otherwise. Those stutters have haunted me for as long as I have been making games I thought I finally was rid of them. I'll definitely release a quality of life update down the line + a clearer objective!

Thank you so much! I'm addicted to the juice. Unfortunately I wasn't able to program an ending in time-sorry I should've mentioned that somewhere in the description. I'm happy with where it got by the time of release though, and I'll definitely at least release a few quality of life updates if not an entire rehaul of the mechanics down the line. Thanks for checking out the game, yours is super cool as well!

I'm a huge fan of proc gen/personalized elements in games, noise based tile worlds specifically are just so charming. I know the progression is mostly based around modifying variables right now, but I'd love to see this get updated with a more advanced ai that builds like a real civilization and keeps track of resources. One thing that comes to mind is a system that generates paths between commonly tread tiles. Overall really unique game and there's a lot here to build off of! Awesome work!

This game is awesome + so is music. The aesthetic (especially out of the intro) you captured here almost reminds me of like silent hill if it were on a ds or psp. Super polished, especially with how you got text boxes and the continue arrow to look. Same goes for card movement and the battle screen. One thing is I'd wish for is that the cards had more graphic art, would be so cool and make it easier to remember them by sight. Great game tho overall, and glad I checked it out!

The detailed criticism is super helpful! I actually planned to add a purchase ammo button, but ran out of time at the end so I left it out. Yeah the biggest issue is definitely the difficulty and.. unfairness? of it. I'll actually work on releasing a new update taking into account all of your points. Thanks again for playing and leaving such a good review.

I really love the build system, makes me want to try making a game with that concept. Controls took me a bit to figure out, but I think it becomes easy once you understand them. Overall fun game I enjoyed it!

Super fun and super replayable. My only request is that the level up screen automatically pops up and that the whole ui can be handled from the mouse so you don't have to reach over to click boxes. I noticed though that other people already made this critique. Also the way you did the all the presentation, like the intro text scroll and upgrade background effect was really high quality and great for world building.

Thank you! Yeah, I was putting in serious shifts to try and get this thing done on time... maybe 2D next time.

That line of sight vision effect is super cool, I kinda want to try messing around with that effect now. I like how the map is built around progression and hits at things to come. And that capture cutscene was fun. Great game!

Love the art style, and that opening cutscene was great. Mazes aren't my thing but its a cool challenge to route the best path. Nice game!

Super cool concept and very pretty, progression though is a bit slow paced, lots of idling waiting for things to build. Overall though just little tweaks, nice game.

Great concept of keeping your health in flux, and the game has a really nice art style, colors are used super well. One criticism I have is you can just run enemies around in a circle forever. If you had the player and enemies become more unpredictable with movement I think it would get a lot more fun.

The synergy system and visual upgrades are great and are honestly a point of inspiration for me! As for criticism I do think the game is a bit slow paced, I found I had killed all the enemies on my floor and couldn't progress without the timer. Also I also appreciate that layered music, very cool!

Those fights in space look amazing especially with all the laser particles flying everywhere. The upgrades are interesting too, not just +damage. I feel like this concept would be perfect for a browser based online game.

Really love the proc gen and this concept is awesome! It's asking to be turned into a system where you spec into a build. Only thing, I actually think it might be a bit too easy, wouldn't mind a bit more bullet hell.

It was definitely a labor of love to get the art right. Probably spent way too much time on that when I could’ve been adding features, haha. Really appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah I actually ripped some tutorial text out of the game because I thought the intro sequence would've gone on too long lol. I'll definitely work on that (and update the itch page to have more info on the loop)

i won! looks great

Thank you honestly means a lot
