Use of the limitation
I made the game into a rogue lite with progression baked in on death and no health regen. The character gets stronger with each death and gets new items to buy.

Super cool artwork!
thank you!
Visual wonderful, but the last weapon is too weak (splash would solve this problem), lack of balance, as soon as you appear on you already a bunch of bots, not even have time to buy weapons also camera shake when hitting you is very annoying.
I also don’t have the firing effect:
when fired:
Maybe the problem is that I’m a Linux user, but I don’t think so.
But still the game is addictive.
Yeah, unfortunately that is a known bug which I since fixed in my bugfix update... on Windows haha. So in a way it is because you are a linux user. I will upload some new versions for linux and mac. Anyways I modified balance a bit and yes the camera shake has also been addressed. I do really like the splash idea and it was definitely something I was debating adding originally but unfortunately ran out of time. Thank you for bringing attention to those versions tho-I will release a patch today for all platforms and a bigger update is planned down the line. Thank you so much for your detailed comment and for playing my game!
Something different, i like it
I'm glad you like it! Thank you for playing.
This is by far the best game I've played from this jam. It nails so many things perfectly. Love the artstyle and gameplay, though couldn't figure out how to get to the ending(if there was any). The music is great too and fits the vibe of the game. This game has the JUICE.
Thank you so much! I'm addicted to the juice. Unfortunately I wasn't able to program an ending in time-sorry I should've mentioned that somewhere in the description. I'm happy with where it got by the time of release though, and I'll definitely at least release a few quality of life updates if not an entire rehaul of the mechanics down the line. Thanks for checking out the game, yours is super cool as well!
It is incredible how much you were able to do aesthetically in 72 hours. I assumed this was a Major Jam 7 submission lmao
The two tracks for the game are both excellent, you absolutely killed it and its def my favorite part of the game. The art and shaders for the game are all excellent too -- the vibe of this is just incredible
I think the gameplay and quality of life stuff is where things fall short: I'd think an ammo refill, health indicator, and a more generous hitbox on the enemies would have been nice. It feels very hard to hit a target with how 1:1 the hitbox is vs. the model. It also makes the issue of "guns are expensive" even worse when wasting ammo is so bad. Also, a flashing shader for scrap on kill would have been nice to indicate you can pick it up: I had no idea you could until I was like "why am I not making any money?" and then I figured it out lol
Also technical bit, but shaders and particles and materials and etc. being preloaded would have made for a much smoother experience. This game is absolutely massive and even on my new rig, stutters quite a bit on entry / whenever an effect gets cached in.
Overall really loved this entry. I'll definitely be playing the update if/when it comes out : )
Thank you for the super detailed comment! It really means a lot you liked the music (I was a massive fan of your games music as well lol). I did some testing and you're right about the lag. Your points about shader initialization didn't even occur to me because I figured Godot 4.4 had included new ubershaders to mitigate that stutter entirely, but thank you for bringing it up because it would have never come to my attention otherwise. Those stutters have haunted me for as long as I have been making games I thought I finally was rid of them. I'll definitely release a quality of life update down the line + a clearer objective!
Very nice!
I like the implementation of theme and limitation. It is fun to play. At first though I didn't know what to do. Maybe in-game tutorial for buttons would be fine here. or at least when there is something interactable near; highlight it and show hint like "press E to interact" etc. But I did figure it out eventually and you have some instructions in the page as well so no biggie.
Oh and the game doesn't pause when you open the menu or any interactable view on screen, which is a bit bummer.
what you do when you run out of bullets? Oh you can buy guns.
Getting shot changes camera angle which kinda bad. like if you try to pick up gun from ground and camera reset to horizontal. Also its very hectic when you are being shot while in some UI. closing UI doesn't happen from ESC what I would think, but from the same E key. E key is fine but more options would make it better.
Anyway good job! You got really much done in so short time!
The detailed criticism is super helpful! I actually planned to add a purchase ammo button, but ran out of time at the end so I left it out. Yeah the biggest issue is definitely the difficulty and.. unfairness? of it. I'll actually work on releasing a new update taking into account all of your points. Thanks again for playing and leaving such a good review.
really nice game! making a 3d game that looks like this is really amazing for a short mini jam!
Thank you! Yeah, I was putting in serious shifts to try and get this thing done on time... maybe 2D next time.
The game oozes style! I love the art, and the sound design is really cool. It looks great! However, I found the gameplay a bit hard to understand and play, to be honest. At first, I wasn't sure what to do. But nonetheless, it's a nice game!
Thank you for your feedback! Yeah I actually ripped some tutorial text out of the game because I thought the intro sequence would've gone on too long lol. I'll definitely work on that (and update the itch page to have more info on the loop)
I love the vibes here. Art and music are great. The progression system is very forgiving, even if some of the enemies aren't. This was rad.
It was definitely a labor of love to get the art right. Probably spent way too much time on that when I could’ve been adding features, haha. Really appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoyed it!
