Noice.

Maybe make it sci-fi (unless I'm missing something) and I'll give it a try once I get back from an upcoming China/Japan sightseeing trip and can put together an impromptu gaming group. 😀 I like the aesthetics right now just to be honest.

I know this jam has ended but no really, why does nearly every visual novel have to be labeled adult content? And why make a solarpunk one?

Solarpunk - in my understanding - is to inspire future generations to work together towards building a brighter & a verdant future. If future generations could include children, then visual novels being mostly an adult content game genre is shooting the movement in the foot.

Just my opinion. Go get your own. 😉

IRX Jam 24 community · Created a new topic Just curious.

From the information given it seems this jam has online and offline components. I'm just curious, where is the offline event/part going to be held at? City? Venue? Suite? Etc.?

A response would be appreciated but it isn't mandatory. 🤪

Noice

I probably can't attend in person tho. But this sounds like a good concept. And considering that I'm a fashion designer this is giving me good ideas on how to move product. 😜

Low effort posts are not permitted as per the board rules. Please include more information.

No. 🤪

Same here.

I'm excited about my two new jams but I'm pissed because it's been 5+ hours and only my evil twin has joined thus far. Please can someone else join so my doppelganger doesn't automatically win?!?!?!

I've also never sold anything in the past while working as a sales professional, because whenever I give something away for free, a few people will stop by my booth and pick up a copy, but not a deluge. If I stick a price on said item then it's career suicide. LoL.

I hate my life.

Yes you can. I do it myself just to pad attendance numbers. 😉

I wonder how complicated the actual math would be going into creating something of this variety. I was never a star student at math in grade school so I guess that's why I don't have your enthusiasm. Either way good luck. Godspeed & good hunting.

Quick question, maybe rhetorical, but would experimental games with the viewport being configured to display using a truncated inverted pyramid holographic projector (such as those kinds you can find tutorials for on YouTube), and interacted with using augmented reality, voice commands or camera gestures, be permitted om this site?

I'm asking for a friend.

Also, having read through some of the comments on this thread, this is the impression of what I thought the OP meant by saying "2d versus 3d". All games including 3d and fps games are at the end of the day, 2d, because of the projection method being a flat or curved 2d screen.

I was thinking out of the box... or at least I was trying to. 😜

Oof, a not so quick question in practice...

Is it true that gaming is heavily monitored and restricted in the PRC?

I hearsay that kids have only two or three hours of total gaming allotment per week nowadays following the enactment of a new law intended to limit children's gaming and to encourage boys to be more manly or something like that (I could be conflating two different news stories but meh, that's not so relevant to what I'm trying to get at here).

What kind of target audience are you selling to, kids, adults, or a mixed market? Just curious. (Response not mandatory. 🤪)

Forgot to mention I'm going to the PRC in a few days to visit family and sightseeing. What city are you based out of? If I'll be nearby we could get together and chat.

On my dev Itchio account (not this one, a different account), I have a small business, and I'm open to this idea of selling to a Chinese market because I'm involved with the MMA (mixed martial arts) community and the FGC community, and Chinese martial arts is like a well known 'big man on campus' when it comes to martial arts in general.

Say that you're training in martial arts and most people here in the USA think it's kungfu - not Muay Thai - which is what I do. 😉
