Is it true that gaming is heavily monitored and restricted in the PRC?

I hearsay that kids have only two or three hours of total gaming allotment per week nowadays following the enactment of a new law intended to limit children's gaming and to encourage boys to be more manly or something like that (I could be conflating two different news stories but meh, that's not so relevant to what I'm trying to get at here).

What kind of target audience are you selling to, kids, adults, or a mixed market? Just curious. (Response not mandatory. 🤪)

Forgot to mention I'm going to the PRC in a few days to visit family and sightseeing. What city are you based out of? If I'll be nearby we could get together and chat.

On my dev Itchio account (not this one, a different account), I have a small business, and I'm open to this idea of selling to a Chinese market because I'm involved with the MMA (mixed martial arts) community and the FGC community, and Chinese martial arts is like a well known 'big man on campus' when it comes to martial arts in general.

Say that you're training in martial arts and most people here in the USA think it's kungfu - not Muay Thai - which is what I do. 😉

Thanks for your reply! ~

Yes, China has strict gaming regulations, but only for minors, and currently only for games that have a license in China. (To charge in the game must be a license, but this policy is only good in mobile games, other platforms are difficult to implement)So the vast majority of computer games, console games, and especially games on steam/epic are not affected. Many itch games have millions of views on Chinese video sites but viewers don't know where to download or buy them, or they aren't translated in Chinese by the hosts themselves.

Our exhibitions and products are mainly aimed at young people between the ages of 10-40.

I'm from Chengdu, and I'm in Shanghai occasionally.

Hahaha I am not good at martial arts, I learned a little bit when I was a child.
