Who "bent the knee" first? Itch or Steam? nope, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and Stripe bent-the-knee to "Collective Shout" first. Well to be honest, the payment processors have been trying to censor for awhile. Collective Shout I think was just throwing gasoline on a smoldering dumpster fire.

The reason why Itch (or Steam) cannot give a detailed list of what is and isn't acceptable, is that the processors have not said. There is a reason the Steam rule 15 is just this:

"15. Content that may violate the rules and standards set forth by Steam’s payment processors and related card networks and banks, or internet network providers. In particular, certain kinds of adult only content."

Key word "may violate", it is specifically not worded as "do violate". I have yet to see the payment processors specifically say what content they are censoring. The only public consensus is something related to "adult" content, whatever that means.

if they don't do transactions, content creators can't make money.
i would assume, that creators are more upset they might not be able to sell their games on this site anymore.

currently this does affect non-monetized games as well, but everything is still in the early-stages.

It's not the "site", its the payment processors (VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, etc) that are the real reason. Any site that is "friendly" will eventually be hit if they allow you to use Credit/Debit cards as a form of payment.

Was delisted...
https://itch.io/updates/update-on-nsfw-content

Next? they have already hit Patreon... well at least the processors have. Granted the christo-extremist group may push for even more censorship on that platform. Currently they are attacking X/Twitter.

This does not "solve" anything though, it is just "kicking the can down the road". Same with people wanting an alternative to this marketplace. The "problem" is with existing processors that control the flow of money. So you use an ACH bank transfer to move your money into crypto... until the processors tell the bank not to allow that. Nothing is solved.

Taking your business elsewhere is just delaying it. Itch was just the next step on their warpath of censorship. There won't be anything to stop the processors from attacking your "next" platform, or the "next" platform, or the "next" platform, or the "next" platform...

They have already attacked (and won) against Epic, Steam, Patreon, OnlyFans, PornHub, etc... and the list will continue to grow if the cancerous reason for this trend is not removed. It is the processors dictating what can and cannot be purchased.

scenario:
Itch: hey VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, etc... we are "holding the line", go F#@! yourself
Them: sure, we will no longer process any of your payments.
Customer: hey, why can't I use my Debit Card to purchase Stationeers on itch.io?
Itch: oh, that is because your Debit Card is backed by VISA and they don't allow it to be used on our site.

Yes, there are alternative processing methods, however, these are not widely used by consumers. The majority is using a VISA or Mastercard backed card, or through a PayPal account. If there was a stable, easy to use, and insured system out there, this might be different. No matter what anybody says, the answer is NOT crypto. When the processors keep getting what they want, it will be only a matter of time before there is no way to "process" your money into crypto (or back).

Sadly there is no guarantee with this marketplace, or any other. Steam did not compensate any devs when they banned and removed games there either. Knowing how digital marketplaces, payment processors, and usage licensing works will go a long way to understand how this wouldn't be a thing here, nor any other marketplace.

Many people do not understand the underlying issue with what is going on. Processors (VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, etc) have told Itch "do not allow people to buy things we do not approve, or we will not process ANY form of payment for ANY reason". With limited resources and not having the backend systems to comply immediately, they de-listed everything as a stop-gap measure while they formulate and implement a plan. Unless things change, on the legal and political stage, some games will be banned/removed from the platform, just as it has happened recently on Steam. Itch cannot afford to lose the ability to process payments on the entire platform.

Technically speaking you purchased a license to download/play those games, as long as the license is still valid (determined by the issuer). Every digital marketplace/publisher has this ability, and has happened with several games on Steam and Epic, all without refunds. Sadly this is the world we live in.

Hopefully the stop-gap of them delisting 18+ games while they are being blackmailed by VISA/Mastercard will have a better outcome. But as Steam has routinely removed/banned games VISA has deemed against THEIR policies, I wouldn't hold my breath with Itch. Steam has much more deeper pockets, and they succumbed to the pressure.

The way I always considered it:

Open marketplace for game creators. That doesn't require payment up-front and a grueling approval-phase, where if you get denied there is no possibility for appeal, even with changes (yes I'm looking at you Steam). All this, if you follow our guidelines and policies... be real, its 2025 and you need to accept a ToS and cookies to unlock your front-door. I have never considered Itch to be a completely "open" marketplace that just blanketly allows any form of content no matter what.

I am hoping this is a stop-gap measure for now. They were shoved against a wall with a gun to their head by VISA and Mastercard, and felt they needed to do something right away. So (other management issues with itch aside), de-listing games to determine what action should be taken next doesn't seem a horrible decision. Unfortunately that decision will likely be the same as Steam's, and actually remove/ban games that VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, and others are blackmailing them to remove.

It seems like they do consider games as "real life", unlike how they perceive Video/Printed. "Video" meaning movies and television with "fictional" content. Visa and Mastercard are all too happy to receive payment fees for Game of Thrones.

As for the gaming side of things, they just don't seem to understand it is a "fictional" medium. It is also only a matter of time before it escalates beyond gaming into printed fiction. My wife straight-up admits many of the NSFW games here on Itch that I have played are tame in comparison to the supermarket-smut-novels they have near the registers! HAHA

Was thinking slowing the player down when ready to give birth, not all the time.

Saw over on Pixiv that it was posted this will be the ONLY Public release/demo?

I do understand the want/need to make money from this project; however, I do believe having updated demo releases (even if its a version behind, or a timed release) would be a benefit. As the project progresses and more content is added, if people only see the demo in its current state it may be seen as an 'abandoned' project. You may also just be using Itch.io as a forum/feedback platform (as stated on Pixiv), but Itch can also get more eye-on the project. (example I would have never seen this project if it were not here)

These are just my comments and opinions on this matter. I do think this has some potential, the controls are smooth, nice visuals, and good animations; the UI/Inventory could use some polish and QoL improvements though. Hope this project does well for you.

Run by default (Shift to walk)
With how large the map is, it can take some time to traverse. Yes there is a 'toggle' option but as running is likely to be used more, might be nice to have that the default speed.

Suggestion: Have birthing be key-bound (example 'B' instead of automatic).
Additionally, disable running (so only Walking) and unable to Double-Jump (still allow single jump)

Noticed an issue with the Lamia in Act 2, says to use Hidden Voices, but just gives the jumbled response. (this is known)

Also think I soft-locked myself in Act 3. All locations in West (and outskirts) conquered, but have not had any interaction with Claire (or 2nd Lyx). So I have leads that require "someone that knows magic", and Kana is still out... but no Lyx.

It's not nearly as extreme if the shoulders and butt area aren't "inflated" lol.

Easiest way is get near them and hit [Y] when they are not targeting you. With Defeat Sex turned on, you need to try to "escape" by just moving a bit. That or you do not have enough Grit to withstand the beast and that will kill you too.

I have noticed a bug if you ever load while you have a quest, it breaks. I have been able to get past this part, but after the 5, you cannot talk to her again and found no work around. The bug where NPCs don't despawn when out of range and then "respawn" when you get near again has it unplayable. Showing "actors" there are over 1000 NPCs actively running bring the game down to 8fps.

How much of the early-game has (or will be) changed with updates? Are there changes that would require (or be beneficial) to start the game over?

I don't know how many of these "suggestion" posts will get seen/cataloged. You may also want to post over in the suggestion post (pinned at the very top).

Yes, best update is correct. Already have 3 days 5 hours 27 minutes logged after the update haha...

Along with the new "cuddle" scenes, and my bank account in the Billions, I just leave the game running while at my computer and jump over to give her head-pats.

You need it to get in touch with Big Daddy to throw away parts, and a crazy stalker. Beyond that, I cannot think of any story specifically tied to streaming. I had a playthrough where I dumped all my money in the stock market and had 14 billion in a few days. Never streamed again.

I haven't found out what triggers this. I have had her show up early and late game. So late in-fact, I completely forgot it hadn't happened yet and was confused haha.

Heard in other posts its about how much time you stream, but again, I've had her show up in early-game when streaming only like 2hr every other day. So *shrug*

Take Lead - Have her be able to change position/speed when she climaxes instead of MC. After taking Death Grip, she will continue what she started for the entire 4 hours without variation.

Cowgirl - Headpats and Fondling don't seem to increase her pleasure level as it does in Missionary?

Doggy - More interactions, like slap butt, fondle breast while in bra, lift shirt (to show breasts). Also doesn't seem like fondling her bare breasts increases her pleasure?

+ Pass Time - Option to just "pass time" when there is nothing to do, and waiting for a certain time of day for contract or event. (without sleeping for an hour, or going for a walk which can lead to encounters that take longer than you expected).

There may be a mechanic missing at this time, but the keybindings seem to not be accurate.

C is set as Hide, but this holds breath?
The only way to hide is by clicking the toggle button with your mouse.
X is set as Hold Breath but does nothing in later missions?

Also the reliance on both mouse and keyboard at different times is a little disconnected. Expected, tap [F] to be able to continue a text message (instead of mouse click button), like you do with dialog. As pointed out above, you must click the toggle to Hide (I think that's the mechanic), while watching out for detection level it got difficult to remember what keyboard button or mouse button to click in certain circumstances. You can click all the buttons with the mouse, but diverted too much attention from the surroundings and found myself many times not knowing what to look at; buttons on the bottom, animations, detection, or recording status.
