I have great news everyone!

I've managed to squeeze in some time to include several bug fixes and addons to the entire experience. Here's a complete the list of changes:

Bug Fixes and Finished Content:

  • Finished Bob Creating System
  • Fixed issues when accepting character at end of Creating Bob
  • Fixed Trigger issues that shouldn't be accessible across multiple levels of events, narrator, out of bounds, missions, etc.
  • Added talents and attributes that changes based on selected Talents
  • Fixed and adjusted out of bounds triggers in Skyscraper level

I hope for those who  were unable to experience the true experience can now enjoy the entire expected experience, next up will include several more stories and an ending! Stay Tuned!

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback! I do apologize for all the misplaced events/chapters, and lucky it's quite straight forward to solve as all the systems that I've developed works together on queues and events, so it just a matter of rescheduling them. I hope to include much more additions, features, levels, and fixes in the near future. Stay tuned for the new release :D Thank you once again for playing Bob's Crazy Adventure!

Thank you very much for all your valuable feedback that you've provided. Whilst developing this project I originally planned to have a fixed camera position, was inspired by the old Resident Evil games, but like you said it does make it difficult. In the beginning, in Bob's given context we can understand he had a crazy party and that he's still in bad shape, so I instead kept only the house level fixed, and made the outside free as that would've spoiled everything. I can see how it looks free but a lot of design was put in based on the fixed camera for the house scenes, so I may've dug the pit to deep to make it better haha. I can make it walk based on the camera's forward direction (was like that in the very beginning) but Bob then walks around the camera, but the movements are much better do. But all and all I appreciate your feedback, I'll see if I'm able to improvise with something else. Hope you had a wonderful experience playing Bob! :D

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback, and I appreciate your honest opinion regarding the game, I'm truly happy with what I managed to produce in the given time. I'm planning to release a gameplay video soon (WITH SPOILER WARNINGS INCLUDED) but in sort to finish the naming game, you should just continuously change the name and press the prompted buttons, should allow you to proceed :D. I'm planning to include an objective system and visual feedback in your actions or what you should go do in feature updates so stay tuned for that. This should make the game way less confusion and more directed.

Thank you once again for experiencing Bob's Crazy Adventure!

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback! It sure was a challenge to include everything (I always love to over scope my games, so I blame myself for that). I hope to have a finished product in a few weeks so please stay tuned for further updates for Bob's Crazy Adventure! Lets just say a lot of energy drinks and some fast energetic skills helped throughout the experience xD

Thank you once again, and I hope you enjoyed the experience

Thank you so much for all the valuable feedback! I really appreciate it! I was exhausted throughout, but in the end, I was truly happy with what I developed, despite having to attend full-time work as well.

I took a slight risk by adding these trolling features when creating the Bob Creation system, and yes, I've omitted the idea of what possible conditions should be added at each slide of the validation function. Currently, there are just 'yes' and 'no' buttons with different text every time, and when you press 'no,' it assumes that you plan to change your name. Once your name has been updated (even to Bob again), it will allow you to continue. I'll definitely revisit the Bob Creation system and add in the features (Hats, Glasses, Talents, Sizes, etc.). The scale and talents of Bob, I believe, can play a very nice and unique role in navigating around the game, and of course, Bob is, well, just Bob for now, haha.

I was planning to do the narration myself, but after a few tests, I simply gave up on that idea, haha. Having a slight Afrikaans accent can be a bit distracting. I'm planning to add many more features and levels by the 12th or 13th of September, so please stay tuned for the experience that I truly had planned from the beginning with the upcoming updates.

There should be 6 Chapters in the game and they all should be playable (With V3 of Bob's Crazy Adventure);

1. House (Tutorial)

2. The Shift of gravity (In town, finding the remote and pressing it)

3. Back in the house (Finding the first piece of the new remote)

4. Back outside in town (Navigating to the highway)

5. Crossing the highway (Once picked up the big red button, you should just float without colliding or touching anything

6. Obstacle course high up in the air (one of my favourite levels, definitely recommend playing again if you were unable to get here)

7. Bob Falls and gets a concussion, and is currently dreaming in an unfinished level (Easter Egg about one of Freelives' games)
...

END for now

Coming Soon

7. Complete level of Bobs concussion level

8. Headquarters and assembling the remote and resetting gravity

9. Returning home and calling sick, and continue sleeping

THE END

Thank you once again for playing my game, I appreciate it so much! I'm glad that you've enjoyed. I can assure you if I had more time (I should've asked for leave from my work xD ) I could've finished the vision I had planned for the game haha. Let me know if you planning on playing again and if you were able to play the level high up in the sky.

Thank you so much for playing my game, I hope you had a lot of fun, I'm sure Bob did every second of it! Haha, that NPC belongs at the trash. Thank you so much for your amazing rating, I really appreciate it!

It's a massive pleasure, and I'm glad that I'm able to give you valuable feedback! Looking forward to the improvements if you're still planning to add some :D

Like it a lot! Though I had the urge in wanting to see how the character dances, but I simply cant do that will pressing down arrows haha, multitasking am I right? Love the concept, good music and effects. I myself made a guitar hero like game and I understand the timing can be somewhat off despite it feeling or looking as if it registered correctly, I would suggest maybe add more effects based on the combo score? Some cool effects or perfect spree effects could be cool. Nicely done.

Good concept, however I think a lot can be improved with the feeling of driving and steering. I myself am working on a very big car project and I understand it can be tricky to have a proper balance between arcade and real life car physics. Currently the steering is too snappy and the NOS doesn't fill up again after using it fully, I would recommend trying to work on the steering and maybe play around a bit with Physic materials and the Wheel colliders (if you're using any) to get a better feel of drifting. Otherwise had a lot of fun drifting around. Nicely done.

Was laughing when my owner got dragged into a rock, hilarious! Good effects overall, sound and effects, like the progression model with the upgrades, can keep my busy for ages win sniffing my way through the forest. Small things occurred like for example sometimes the truffles would spawn in a rock, which makes it risker for me to go to but otherwise well done.

Loved the idea of running things over, would've been cool if the bull had rag doll physics or if the mugs will only break with a given magnitude force.  Another cool idea is that you can possibly have time based sprint with less rotation allowed, which can be used in a linear direction to break more things in a satisfyingly way. Overall good concept.

Love your concept, had fun playing as a cat for once, got a huge fright when I first accidentally pushed off a fear glass haha. Well done. Would love to see more mechanics  instead of just pushing things off, maybe a full course as a cat whilst pushing things off? But overall like the game!

I hooked up my controller and started testing the game, the combat was interesting and snappy, and I especially enjoyed the continues loop in the world space, it reminds me of Portal, a good classic.

Well done with your platformer, really liked it.

*Mind is blown at the very end* Super clever and trippy haha, love it! Would've liked to have a longer game session but otherwise good concept!

I tried so hard to draw something amazing, but I'm very bad at drawing xD Love the concept and the music, it's really nice and chilled. If I was talented like the others, I would've liked to draw the iconic Mona Lisa painting xD

It would've ben cool to have different pencil colours, otherwise I really liked drawing in your game :D Well done!!!

The voice of a general Karen is super accurate haha. Love your concept! I'm not sure if the game has a working score system as my score kept on staying 0, and after Karen stood still after she was catapulted, the game didn't restart or do anything afterwards.

Otherwise,  had a real laugh while playing your game!

Love the music and art style, especially the animals! It surprisingly works well together! The only problem I had was with the mouse controls, its a bit sensitive and very precise on both the x-axis and y-axis. Otherwise had a lekker jol while playing your game!

Really enjoyed the game, kept on retrying several times, and I'm proud to say that I made it across haha. Very well done, amazing scene, love the dynamic sound, and the feel and controls are superb. Well done!

Thank you so much! :D

For anyone who's unable to experience the game on a computer, we've compiled a walkthrough of our game from start to finish. for your convenience. Enjoy!

Before you watch this video, I highly recommend playing the game first, see if you're able to complete it before watching this gameplay walkthrough video as this video will spoil the entire experience in terms of gameplay patterns, puzzle solving, etc

(1 edit)

Thank you for the splendid feedback. The game is finishable so everything does work as attended. If you haven't finished the game yet, and you've tried everything, I suggest watching the walkthrough that I'll be releasing in the comments soon, which is mainly meant for those with no access to pcs or a gaming computer but would like to watch the gameplay of the game.

Thanks again!

Thank you very much for your wonderfu feedback! Thank you for your vote!

Glad to hear that! Apologies for all the overwhelming and confusing mechanics, we would've liked to make it much more simpler when applying it in the level desgin as well as in the UI when switching tools. Thank you for your feedback!

Super glad that you liked our game! Really enjoyed watching you play it, while having plenty of laughs in between.

We acknowledge all possible flaws in the game, and we really hope that we could've pushed in all our ideas in the given time, but for three days I'm really impressed to what we have achieved.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback!

Thank you very much! Much appreciated! Glad tou liked our game! 😀

Glad that you found our game aesthetically pleasing. We had so much ideas that we would've liked to add in, namely Zombie Enemy AI, Decoy gun for distractions, better levels, and more byt unfortunately time has run right past us.

We were mostly inspired by Fall guys and many other similar platformers, glad we reached a certain point in style.

Thank you for all the amazing feedback, It truly means the world for us!

Thank you so much for the great feedback. We tend to always iver scope our game ideas, so unfortunately there's so much more things we would've liked to add into the game. Glad you enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed playing your game! Gets quite competitive and addictive. Well done!

Really enjoyed looking at the pixel atmosphere, especially with all the effects and glitches going on. Had a few problems with the mechanics as they felt like they weren't making any progress when completing all the different buildings. Otherwise nice idea.

I had the same issues on previous games that I've made, and not to worry! It's by now standard to have a 16:9 aspect ratio screen, and not anything above so it may just be a small issue for those with wider screens. The majority will still enjoy playing your game as it's intended to be played as ;D, otherwise well done, I managed to play it on my laptop and I really enjoyed it!

Had so much fun shooting boxes, collecting mola and B-hopping my way around the map. The game feedback sounds amazing but I feel like it's missing some extra mechanics to the gun that may make it somehow more interesting that would make the player want to continue on breaking and collecting. Also, I like breaking physics!

Liked the style but was unable to play the game, the entire game was stretched out so far that I was unable to see any UI buttons to start the game. Maybe scale the canvas to match the height of the given resolution, which should fix such issues (that's if you're working in unity of course).

Like the narrative a bunch! Kept me busy when reading the story, well done.

Thank you very much for the spectacular feedback! I am so sorry to hear that you guys got a bit motion sick, would never have taken that into account. I'm glad that you've enjoyed the ball pit, it sure got me on my toes as well haha. Will fix more bugs in the near future, to make the game more complete and less buggy of course haha. Thank you so much again! Soon I'll also try to make it multi-player so that the both of you can play together ;D

Added an update that fixed some bugs and fixed some camera bugs, also made the game much smaller in terms of size (from 640MB compressed to 76MB  compressed). Hope this will fix some aspects of the game.

Thank you for your feedback! I'm so sorry to hear that, well definitely try and look into fixing the game's camera in future updates. It was one of those experiments I wanted to try to give the game a cinematic taste.

Very polished and well executed! I really enjoyed fighting against the boss, though I realized sometimes I take damage without touching any fireballs. Otherwise, it was fun!

So this is how it feels like to be a dog? Wish I could be one lol, love the style and gameplay mechanics!

Love the color and the scenes! I felt really satisfied when I was falling in the mist. Overall a very satisfying experience. Though I would try to add more control in the player as it only goes in one direction. But otherwise very well executed!
