I’m glad you enjoyed the music and game design! I owe most of those aspects to my teammate who created the sick background song and also came up with the idea that it should be a game about a ship and a megalodon instead of a mechanic and a flying hydraulic press (my idea). A lot of people at the in-person competition found more joy playing with a parter, although I get that that’s way harder to coordinate in an online competition. Thanks for playing!

Thank you for the positive feedback! In retrospect I agree with you about the movement, probably should’ve been more intuitive, especially for a game jam. I’m glad you had fun!

Thank you! Yeah I probably should’ve made my name on Itch something else considering I make all my games in Unity lol.

:)

Thanks, it means a lot!

I’m happy you had fun!

I really enjoyed this one! It felt really nice to shift in and out of sprinting. The fact that you could do a normal jump and then switch to sprinting midair added a cool way to save time! The ending was also hilarious.

Really cool incremental game! It was a satisfying curve of going from being able to mine very slowly to being able to spam maxed-out dynamite.

Really cool theme interpretation! At least in my view, the game might feel a bit nicer if the handling on the root was a bit more responsive. Other than that, I really liked how each run felt a bit different because of getting to choose upgrades. I liked the fire rate one a lot, especially because it helped deal with the boss attacks!

Cool art, I like how different layers of the background move at different speeds!

Thank you for playing!

Good to hear! The last difficulty is really crazy, I’m happy you went so far into the game.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the control scheme feedback! Looking back your idea definitely would’ve worked better. I probably should’ve slowed the player by less in the fields as well. Also it’s good to know someone found and finished the secret mode :D

I like the idea of a rougelike where the level advances based on time rather than other factors. Was really satisfying to play and polished, loved the soundtrack and the pixel art really sold the vibe, with the enemies being pleasantly unique!

The game was easy to pick up and start playing, with a well established gameplay loop. Not to mention, this game had a sick arcade vibe going for it with the stylish pixelart, post-processing effects, and cool synth music!

Was simple and intuitive, which are great attributes in a game jam setting! The controls were easy to pick up, the levels made intuitive sense, and the game had a nice flow.

Beautiful art and audio, loved the idea of a boss that gets stronger the more you fight it! Smooth gameplay loop, felt super nice to play.

Cool project, was fun to try and figure out what each rabbit needed! The art style and music added a lot as well.

One of the more creative interpretations of "loop" by far. Was very satisfying slowly figuring out the timing of different things for each individual piece of a level before finally having the winning sequence!

Really cool and unique concept, which was explored excellently with the puzzles presented! Really encouraged thinking "outside the box".

Really clever and unique take on the theme, and well-polished too! Enjoyed the range of different topics covered, and the thought process behind figuring out what each image represented in a given context.

This game is crazy addictive, loved incrementally becoming stronger and transitioning slowly from farming to military! Played this far longer than any other game this jam. No complaints, except for that the music is a bit glitchy on the web build.

Cool game, first time I saw this concept implemented so far, and felt nice to play. Was a little annoying when obstacles spawned right in front of me, but other than that was fun.

Really creative idea, with a little more time I could see this becoming a crazy project! You're leagues ahead of where I was three weeks into game development.

Really nice game, cool art style and audio, enjoyed how upgrades were tied to different enemies to give more control over how the game developed!

Instantly one of my favorite games out of this jam. Game feels intuitive, love how you can make varying decisions around what will help you in the short/long term, tons of room to be creative in how you set up around the tower due to unique properties of each block, and also, is a great interpretation of the theme. It doesn't hurt that the game is also exceptionally polished. Will definitely be coming back to this one to try and survive longer.

Enjoyed the art and audio greatly! I found wrapping around enemies to be really fun, but it felt like the score incentivized the player to disregard this mechanic, ignore the enemies, and farm pots, as you could take down the pots rather quickly with lower risk of losing score. Still enjoyed trying to become massive, although my frames dropped noticeably at over 100 score.

Nice project, was a really solid amount of content for a game jam! Really enjoyed the music, however the combat could've felt a little cleaner.

Super polished audio and a clean art style. The game feels very complete, and I enjoyed the added challenge from trying to figure out what my past selves were going to do based on where the enemies are. Again, super cool.

Played this game with my friend, which was fun. Adding in a skybox and some textures for the cubes would have been nice, even if it was something basic, for easier depth perception and overall visual appeal.

Really sick game! Loved how interconnected the puzzle felt, and the graphics and audio both added greatly to the experience. Enjoyed the sense of humor this game had, was fun from start to finish, and was not expecting that ending.

Cool project! It would be nice if in the first zone there was a little more consistency with what kills you and what doesn't.

I enjoyed the unique platformer movement!

Beautiful game! This is a very unique interpretation of the theme, and I had fun with the variety.

Neat game! The graphics and audio were amazing, and I enjoyed how the tutorial walked me through the mechanics.

Darn… I’ll come back tomorrow and give rank one another shot.

I should be the one thanking you for making such an awesome game! I have had so much fun trying to find new ways to lower my time, and the mechanics and level design allow for lots of freedom!

Thanks for the compliments and feedback! Regarding the leaderboard, I opted for a local version using Unity’s PlayerPrefs system. On the highscores window, the three best times scored on your device are displayed.

Overall, a very polished game! I can say without hesitation that this is one of if not the most unique game to come out of this jam.

Looks like I've got to step up my game
