extremely nice use of the assets in combination with visual effects. great presentation

cute little game! i can see the Downwell inspiration but it could definitely use some more mechanics or obstacles. good job still!

As soon as the judging phase of the game jam is over, yes!

really nice atmosphere with the ships flying overhead and such! a little too much downtime where you’re just sitting and doing nothing for me (scanning/waiting out the storm) but really cool nonetheless!

cool atmosphere! the guy seems pretty chill for being stranded haha

lmao checkpoints we’re actually placed but by some quirk they didn’t actually work… oh well, thanks for playing!

thanks for playing! the last level with the boots was definitely rushed, there could have been more clear level design when you get the boots that make it so you have to use them right as you get them. will definitely polish it for the future!

you are too nice, thank you!

ty!!

thanks! i tried to do all the background elements in the “middle” color of the palette but I realize there are some exceptions, thanks for the feedback!

I feel it’s a slippery slope if you allow compositing new sprites with parts of sprites, because you then in theory could make any sprite (is a single pixel a part of a sprite? lmao). I’ll respect the rules and wait until after the jam with the additional edits.

(though I’m just a little salty the “equivalent” is allowed in 3D lmao)

Not to sound annoying, but it’s extremely subtle edits such as this. Just the face shifted one pixel right. I won’t use this if I don’t get a response, but if you see this Kenney, is this kind of edit also not allowed?

Looks like it isn’t the case from the FAQ. Guess I’ll have to make a version with and without custom sprites and save the custom for after the jam.

Say if I were to make additional animation frames for a 2D character with existing animations e.g. to add an attack animation, would that be against the rules? I would be basing the new frames on the existing sprites.

very cool! presentation feels really coherent and the polish is amazing! the way you have to guide the shots while also dodging them is great risk reward and feels really nice as a game concept, good job!

nice little game! took me a while to realize how good the boulders were

many ideas we’re drafted that did not come to fruition (such as the goal being to escape lmao). glad you liked it!

hard to get going but pretty satisfying once you do! especially with like 200 turrets lmao

i thought i had to click right click but i later realized you can hold it and just drag to harvest which took away a lot of the difficulty. still a cool little game!

surprise this didn’t have more ratings! really fun little game, felt polished and complete for a jam game (don’t worry, i love janky physics)

i liked the character design and animation! the camera could definitely be zoomed out more or be less fast paced

kinda liked it in a goofy kinda way, especially the music lmao

thank you very much! very glad you persevered and got to experience the whole thing! i’ll definitely have to do some polishing and make the difficulty progression and introduction to the controls better for after the jam. thanks for playing!

thanks for the kind words! i think the game could definitely use some better difficulty progression. i’ll have to work on that for the next jam ^^

thank you! i do think a big improvement to the game would be a more gradual introduction to the controls

thank you! :) yeah, the controls can be a bit finicky when you start out, glad you liked it

thanks for the kind words! glad you liked it

cute art style! i think the gameplay could be slowed down a bit to match the atmosphere, felt pretty uncontrollable at times. otherwise great work!

very fun! i even got this cool score

btw if you die while in slow mo the death screen fade in and the intro also became slow mo which was kinda funny lmao

very cool little concept and amazing polish to the game!

a little wonky but the sprites and animations we’re really nice! cute little game

i somehow beat it? very confusing experience. cool art tho

very cool mysterious aesthetic! i enjoyed the puzzles.

bug: i accidentally got a light beam i could just walk around with when i got hit by an enemy while reflecting a beam with the shield. rendered all the puzzles meaningless lmao. still nice game!

i might’ve gotten stuck… cool little game, it was a little confusing what some of the items were for though. still, good job!

very promising the witness-like concept, but then it turned into a the stanley parable ripoff. would’ve liked to seen more of the concept from the puzzle but oh well! very cool aesthetic still

a lot of fun to play! the vibe i got from the arpeggiating music was really fitting. great job!

i noticed the progression of the stages is very similar to our game!

presentation-wise it’s amazing! though i think the platforming could use some work. good job nonetheless!

i think i might’ve overwatered my garden…

cute little game!

cute cat animation, i enjoyed the tuna bonus, i went like “oh shit tuna bonus!”

how is it the path of the rainbringer when i don’t bring the rain i took it away!!

extremely cool presentation wise, gameplay is clearly just jumpking but with some added control which was nice.

overall good job!

fun little game! definitely feels incomplete but still a lot of fun. good job!
