After reading some comments, I came back to the game to try out the screen shake effect. 10/10
It should've been advertized more imho. :D

Like others, I appreciated the constant feedback given to the player. :)

I enjoyed this! I reached the end, probably the first game I manage to finish in this Jam, it felt good :')

I liked the constant feedbacks that the game gives to the player, it helps a lot in the gameplay. I also liked the level design: there's not an obliged path, you can flee from enemies or you can fight, and I also liked the jumping top-down mechanics!

Great job, congratulations! :D

Had fun playing this! Liked the display of the status of you and the blobs. Used the fact you started at the beginning when you died to shortcut after getting a gem. ;)

Would have liked a more full ending, but understand the limited time factor of game jams makes sacrifice somewhere necessary.

pressing the E button constantly is no joke the most fun i've had this entire game jam

I really like what you've got going here, it really does feel like a Zelda-like. That quote by your girlfriend made me laugh lol

:D so glad you liked it, especially the screenshake on E - no intention of ever removing it!

The game was fun. Impressed by the mini map and amount of caves and content you have packed into the game within a week.

Developer

Thanks much! The minimap is part of a tilemap/room system i’ve been building up for a few jams - works for metroidvanias, and now for topdown maps as well!

I definitely see the Zelda inspiration and I like that you can jump, which is not too common in 2D top-down games. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks much! The jump occurred to me b/c I just made a beatemup last month, and i realized the implementation is roughly the same, so it wasn’t too bad.
