Right, this might be it! I don’t know how I missed this information, because I was reading everything, but I had to lose it somehow. Destroying turrets might help ;)

Well, I managed to win this game just by holding W almost all the time with occasional steering left and right x) it is a little bit overpowered. And without holding W it gets too hard, because the camera is too close and it is very hard to see obstacles at the right time. So yeah, controls are a little bit clunky. About the enemies, the player should lose health when hitting a bird in my opinion, the same as hitting a bee ;) because after a first biome you can’t be killed by anything, because there are no bees higher up? But, congratulations on finishing a whole game, with a beginning and a finish line :D And you managed to create three different biomes, so you can be proud of yourself, that’s a lot of diversity for a game jam entry! :D
It’s hard to comment this game for me, because it is not a style of game that I like x) I had to force myself to finish at least one level. But, the execution of the idea is good - I had no bugs, everything was working smoothly, gameplay was well presented, I knew what I had to do and how, so well done nonetheless ;)
Very good learning curve, I really liked how the game adds new mechanic with every level at the beginning :D but after a few levels it gets too hardcore - the level with three mouse cannons, two laser rats and three boxing rats is the overkill x) I quitted on that level. Mouse cannons have too big area of damage in my opinion, it is very hard to dodge them. But overall, the design of this game is captivating ;) and, at the beginning, positively challenging, but unfortunately not for the whole game
Wow, that’s a really good game jam entry! :D Although a little bit clunky and not too smooth on controls, after you get used to it, it gives a lot of fun. Using the grabbing arm is nice (great inverse kinematic!), but then, when you unlock a grapping arm it gets even better, gives you so much more options and freedom in movement. The feeling is comparable with new Spiderman games :D I like it that you didn’t nerf the grapping arm too much, so it has quite a great distance of working (I got to the final mountain using propeller + grapping arm, without rock shooter (but I used the rock shooter to climb on the big black cuboid)), but it is very rewarding for the player :D Oh, and of course, it would be that fun if the level design was not as good as it is ;)
The only problems I had are crashes. I got two crashes: when clicking on a lever on the black cuboid and when clicking on the launcher(?)/lever(?) behind the smaller mountain. Nonetheless, you should be proud of yourselves, great game :D
I like the originality in this idea, but unfortunately the execution is hard to make anything out of it :( The camera is swinging, blocking and clipping all the time. There are a lot invisible colliders so the rat is not going where I would like it to go. Once I managed to fall out of the game space into the void and had to restart the game. So yeah, camera and controls make this game unplayable, as for now :/ (although, in the end, I managed to rescue 17 rats, but it was a pain and frustraiting to do so)
If you want to give yourself the additional challenge, you can click “o” on your keyboard while repairing the carpet, to get it cleared in full and you can try to recreate it in as least number of moves as you can! We managed to do it in just 12 moves and we are very curious if it’s possible to get it even lower ;)
Pretty fun game, little bit unbalanced - basic powerups are too strong. Unfortunatelly it broke after 8 wave (screeen turned into purple, only healthbars were visible). Nice music, pretty artstyle - very cohesive. Lot of tower upgrades.
Congratulation on completing the game in 4 days. How many people was in the team?
Original idea and veery fast paced straight into action, I like that :D The only thing for the future - it would be much easier for a player if the player character would have some highlight/glow/other color than the enemies, because at the beginning of every round you now need a couple of seconds to understand who is who :) About the presentation, everything was there - coherent art style, animations, original music and sounds, that is for the big plus. Overall, one of the best game I’ve played in this game jam so far :D
Clunky controls, didn’t get used to them although I’ve finished the whole game. Most times I’ve felt like i have lost not because i’ve done something wrong, but because of the controls. Anyway, witty idea, aesthetics are amazing, game design is quite strong too! Really good game jam game and quite lenghty too!
Edit: Just now I found out about changing the controls layout in settings (at first I thought that it is for rebinding the controls, not changing how they work, so I didn’t bother). It is more intuitive that way, but still.. something is a little bit off about controls here (maybe because I got slightly used to previous “not too comfy” layout? dunno at this point ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )
Thanks for playing! Yeah, there are some problems with mouse, we saw it after the submission period, luckily, that they are not game breaking. Current game with the floating mask is like a bare minimum, that we planned, but, of course, we had no time to implement further ideas. Thanks for the tip with shaders, we will probably make use of them in upgrading the game after the voting period ;)
Solid GMTK submission. Great atmosphere of discovering the unknown, imagination can go wild in this game. Is there anything I can do, when the batteries in the rover are running out? Option to get back to ship and launch another rover would be great, because now I need to restart the game, which breaks the immersion :/ nevertheless, good job!
If you would like to play another atmosphere-based game, then I'd be grateful if you could play and rate my game :D
Nice horror game, I especially like the building of tension, really good excecution ;) The only thing, that could be better is adding better lights, when they were on, because I had some problem with the orientation. Oh, and the contrast between soft melody in the hall and the things that happen was great :D
If you would like to play something horror-esque with similar atmosphere, then I'd be super grateful, if you could play and rate my game :D
