Screenshots I wanted to added but Itch was complaining about them:
Shop:

Preview Tile:

Thanks for playing! Appreciate you giving it a shot even with the lack of tiles.
The shop is only accessible between waves, so when the "next wave timer" is ticking, you can pause to access it. The pause button is different depending on if you're playing the web browser build (Backspace) or the desktop build (Escape).
Escape feels like a more natural pause button, BUT when you hit the button on web it can affect things like full screen and mouse mode, so I decided to make backspace a substitute on web.
Once you pause you'll be able to click on whichever items you want to buy (If you have enough gold for it).
Once you buy some tiles, you can un-pause, and place them in any grid cells that are empty. You'll know you can place a tile by it's preview mesh (Just a white dither silhouette). Left click to place down a tile:
Thanks for the feedback! Believe it or not, turning while charging did cross my mind a few times, so might be worth exploring that along with the other things listed.
I also found myself using the same three actions + the uppercut(Duck -> Swing) since that keeps enemies in the air for longer, and lets me charge up my bat at the end of a combo, but future enemy types will motivate the use of the hop stance as well.
I will be looking to commission for music as well. Figured since this was an early build I'd just focus on getting sound effects in at the very least.
Game looks amazing, read the title "Mecha Mode", and was not disappointed!! Super satisfying having a rapid fire weapon, and mowing down hordes of goblins. Not sure how collision normally is handled in horde games, but did find myself getting stuck between the walls and goblins a lot, but could be bad skill on my end tho. Great game!!!
