I really loved the art style.  I definitely wish we could skip repeated dialogue.  I don't think I was able to finish it... I think I got 3 different endings total before I started getting repeats.  Fun concept, just needs some more polish.

Outstanding! I was way overthinking the last puzzle and really did a facepalm when I finally got it!  The characters are adorable and I like how you give the player an easy version of the next challenge.

The audio was awesome.  As a cat lover, this made me a little anxious... I didn't like seeing them get killed.  But it was fun trying to save them.  The sounds drove my real cats crazy, lol!

Audio and visuals were great, loved the retro vibe.  I couldn't beat the final goblin, must have hit him 100 times or more... but he has no health bar.  Without knowing if my hits are effective, I'm inclined to give up.  So definitely add a health bar in the future.  One other minor change to make it slightly more playable overall - a tiny smidge of coyote time!  Even something like a quarter of a second of coyote time would have prevented some frustration in the forest.  Overall, this is very well done for only 3 days.

OMG, lol.... Poor Murphy!  I tried, but the highest I got was 7.  Funny little game! Definitely LOVED the music.

You found our game relaxing?  Lol.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.  We learned some hard lessons from the last jam... and soon we will add lessons from this current jam to bring with us for the next!

I didn't survive the 9th wave... but I definitely enjoyed the challenge!  It would be nice to be able to see the temporary rules that are in effect as the waves play out.  This is a pretty solid game, though... and I'm not usually a big fan of tower defense.  Super polished appearance.

Hilarious!  It did crash on me while I was trying to get unstuck from between a sign and the wall... but up until that point, it was pretty amusing.  Car movement is smooth, but I don't really like the way the camera works; it would be nice to have a bit more control of that.  Also... shift for brake?! Lol.... I feel so hardwired to use shift for faster, it's hard to reprogram that... but maybe that's just me.  Overall, pretty fun little 3D racer!

And now I'm intrigued... did I do the right thing?  Solid game!

I can't imagine how much more challenging/stressful it would be to have to read all the text on the walls in  your non-native language.  If it was a fully developed game, we would definitely want to make it more linguistically accessible.   We did want to have an interactive tutorial, instead of having to rely on the visual/text stuff, but just not enough time.  The wonky physics when the inventory is full is because the tetras collide with you instead of being collected, so they will push you against a wall.  That part is intentional, though.  Thank you so much for giving it a try.  :)

Wow.  That was pretty nifty!!  It took me some time to understand the controls and the level editor, but once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed it.  I think you'd need a way to filter player creations, though... because I predict some immature players would quickly take advantage of the freedom to make some disturbing "terrain" features.  If you could add one thing of juice, maybe have sound and a visual effect when the ball lands in the goal.  Overall, super impressed!!!

I think I understand what you mean. Thank you for clarifying.

Thank you so much for playing!  When you say the camera motion isn't smooth enough, can you be a little more specific?  I want to make sure we are able to address that issue in the future, but we need to be able to understand what that will take.

We love GODOT.  Thank you for trying our game!

Thank you for trying it out.

I'm sorry if the camera made you motion sick.  We have tried to keep the camera as smooth as possible, but everyone has a different threshold.  In the future, we might try to implement a way for the player to adjust that.  It sounds like our game probably doesn't fit your playstyle - and that is okay.  Thanks for trying anyway.

You might be the first here to have completed the mission successfully!  Outstanding!  We did want to have an interactive tutorial, but that was more complex to work out within the remaining time we had.  But we are definitely taking that lesson forward with us.  The reason for the length of the timer was to give the player a chance to discover what the next problem is and adjust their priorities before bringing the next problem into the mix.  But yes, I think you may be right that it could be condensed, although maybe we would have to reduce the difficulty to make up for that.  Thank you very much for playing our game and leaving feedback.

Maybe it works better with a controller, but I can't test that.  LOVE the concept, LOVE the music! It was really fun at first, but for some reason the game started ignoring my number inputs on the numpad.  I suspect it's a bug, since I also had my partner test it on his machine.  For both of us, the numbers work fine at the beginning, but then don't register after a while.  So then we can only successfully hit combos that strictly use the arrow keys, or swap to numbers on the top of the keyboard, which is particularly difficult to juggle.  I would suggest that if the numpad failure turns out to be a bug, maybe just stick with arrow combos.

Incredibly fun little game!  Love the desert environment, love the music, the adorable and naughty little kangaroo!  The menu buttons seemed occasionally sluggish and it would be nice to know how far away the goal is, but overall it's a polished and delightful experience.

I played, rated and left you feedback.  Ours takes a minute or so to get going (giving you time to start building your situational awareness) but gets more challenging as the countdown approaches.  Try it out: https://feralbytes.itch.io/brackeys-2025-1

It was fast, furious and fun... until the vampire level.  Not being able to see the environment until the vampire is locked on makes it hard to figure out how to solve this new problem.  Overall, I like it.

Wow, thank you for the valuable feedback, especially the comment about only having QWERTY support.  It's too easy to have tunnel-vision and forget such an important, but easily overlooked accessibility issue.  We will definitely carry that lesson forward with us for future projects and ALSO will include that fix after the jam when we provide an updated version.  Accessibility is critical.  Thank you for taking time to try our game and I'm glad that you enjoyed what you could.

I'd like to try it again when you have it updated.  :)

Good job on the creepy ambience. Art style is nice, but I really hated the chromatic aberration on the menu and the darkness was a little too dark (I think I went in circles for a minute trying to find the door back into the house.)  The code gave me a good chuckle and the jump scare was anticipated, but still effective at making me flinch.  Overall, it's pretty good. I had some confusion with the UI when I was halfway through the code, but eventually figured out how to get back to typing.

Played, enjoyed, rated and left some feedback.  I always appreciate when bugs get to be heroes.  Care to try ours and leave some feedback?  https://feralbytes.itch.io/brackeys-2025-1

I'm not sure how many times I had to start over, but eventually I *think* I won.  (Did it end with the choice of "re-save" and "what the heck?") The design is clever and I like the art style.   My only complaint is that all the bugs are the same colors, so it's sometimes hard to tell which is good and which is bad, especially while stumbling around in the dark.  I very much appreciated being able to quickly access the items I lost when I died, as it encouraged me to keep trying, since I knew I could shortcut past previous puzzles.  Overall, this is pretty solid and enjoyable and would be even better with some minor adjustments.

Played and rated.  Give ours a try if you like a challenge: https://feralbytes.itch.io/brackeys-2025-1

This game made me think of "Fortunately, The Milk"... except much darker.  I think you found that sweet spot of just the right difficulty to keep a player wanting to try again "just one more time."  Nice job.

Thank you so much for trying it out.  It's tricky to figure out the right balance and timing, but we will continue working on it outside the jam. There's a fine line between too easy and too frustrating, as well as too long and not long enough.  Thank you for the feedback.

I love the art style and the audio design! I think if you can manage to iron out the kinks in the gameplay, this has the potential for a solidly fun game! I couldn't figure out how to fix the code, though... I thought I understood the diagram, but I only ever produced wrong shapes and colors after things started to go south.  I still had fun trying.

The concept is really fantastic! It is, however, very difficult to understand what exactly I’m supposed to do… I was going to ask for *help* before trying again, but I read the instructions a 3rd time and something clicked. My third play I managed to survive 4 revolutions! (on easy, but still feels rewarding) Yes, you need some balancing and better player communication, but once you get those nailed this will be a solidly addictive game!

I tried it and left you some feedback.  The title of your post drew me because I was looking for a challenging 3D game!  Ours is also a higher difficulty 3D browser friendly game.  Would love to have you try it out.  Games like ours are probably a bit too niche for the jam, but if we can find the right people to test it, it's a great opportunity to find out how we can improve.  :)

First of all, kudos for creating a 3D browser friendly game! Not an easy task in less than a week. What you made is off to a great start, but needs some extra tweaking to make it more playable. I tried about a dozen times in total. Only once was I able to extend the timer, but that didn’t get me much extra playtime. Sometimes the end was triggered quite a bit before the timer actually ran out – not sure if that is a bug or intentional. Add some visual labels to the tools & equipment to help them stand out as interactable objects (especially for people that are red/green colorblind!) One more, but possibly my biggest complaint: leave unfinished tasks visible for the player – I got tasked with 2 things in a row with almost no time to finish reading the first, and by the time I read the second task I couldn’t remember what I was looking for to satisfy the first task. Overall, I liked the environment, the audio and the smooth controls and felt that your game was a good fit for the theme. I just wish I knew if it is even possible to experience a successful mission.

Thank you.

Thank you for trying it out!  There's definitely a learning curve and it's not meant to be entirely straightforward.  The learning only really comes with failure and increasing situational awareness (mostly by paying attention to the display panels for status updates and relying on station visual aides and warnings).  In hindsight, it's probably too niche for a game jam.

Thank you very much for trying it out! I like your suggestion.

Thank you for trying our game.  It's meant to be a little overwhelming on the first try, but in hindsight, probably not the best approach for a game jam.  The style of game we were aiming to create is a bit niche, so I understand why we've had a lot of complaints of unclear objectives.

You actually took the theme 100% literally - and NAILED IT.  I usually don't care much for platformers, but when I was actually rewarded for my first mistake, I couldn't help feeling that NEED to get to the top of the tower.  And I ended up with a LONG LIST of inspected items.  Fantastic job.

It's amazing how such a simple concept can be SO ENGAGING! Lovely job.  Hard to pass up a game featuring a penguin. ... I dropped a lot of ice blocks.

Lolz... these monstrous little beasties are disturbing!  The first round, I never looked at the clipboard, so I was making guesses.  But when I realized I could pull up the clipboard, I did better the second round.  I like the concept of the game and it has a fairly polished presentation.  Sound effects enhanced the experience and the timer was generous enough.  Some of the descriptions on the clipboard were contradictory or redundant, which was confusing.  (One was wearing shoes and also NOT wearing shoes, another had "no fingers" written twice, for example.)  Overall, a unique and fun little game.  The reason I stopped in to check it out was because I love cacti and anthropomorphized cactus critters... so you hooked me right away there!  .... edited: and now I see in the comments they're supposed to be watermelon! Lol.  Close enough, I guess.
