When I made my submission last year, I just distributed a zip, which I think I’ll be doing again this year. However, this time I want to make sure that everything is working no matter what distro, instead of just testing one distro.

I participated in the 2022 Jam with Gliding Bird, and one thing it taught me was to make sure the game is fun. Mine was not, which is something I want to fix for this year’s entry.

A very fun game. I really enjoyed it.

Having issues loading the game on Microsoft Surface Go, Windows 10. Game crashes during load, and even the logs stop midway through a sentence.

Thanks

I was low on time, didn’t have any ideas, and had little sleep, so I did what I could.

Yeah, it’s an issue with the web build sadly. I’ve fixed it for the post-jam build

Thanks, and it really is tiny

  • web: 817KB total or 447KB zipped.
  • desktop: 1.8MB total or 869KB zipped (nice)

Working in C++ wasn’t too hard, I had a basic framework built up in a few hours.

Yeah, at least I finished something.

Thanks, I tried my best

*Adds a ton of buttons in the post-jam build*

I didn’t realize the rng wasn’t working until it was too late, as it was working fine in the desktop version

And that’s what matters, right?

Sometimes the simplest of games get the most ratings.

Score was a very easy feature to add

Thanks, I tried my best, but didn’t get very far.

Ooh, nice idea

Yeah problems with the web build…

It was fine on the desktop build, but I didn’t fully test the web build, and didn’t notice it until it was too late to fix it. I’ve already fixed it for the post-jam build

It is indeed

Would have been a great feature. I’ll add it in the post-jam build

Fun, I enjoyed it.

A fun concept, I’d love to see it expanded on after the jam.

Shame there’s nothing else though

A very good VN, and that ending was amazing!

Very fun, and very chaotic. I enjoyed it.

A really fun game, I can see myself coming back to this in the future. Would be nice to see other people’s scores if possible.

This is the game I wish I made. So good.

Fun, but that end screen was way too bright for how dark the rest of the game was.

There’s a fun bug where you end up on top of the enemies and they can’t hurt you

Very fun, interesting concept, would love to see it be expanded after the jam

Yeah there was a problem with the RNG in the web build, not sure why. I couldn’t think of any more mechanics during the jam, otherwise there would have been a lot more. The box at the bottom is something emscipten made when compiling for web, I was too tired to try and remove it.

A very fun game, I enjoyed it

I think there’s a bug, completing any level is taking me to level 5

It would have been nice to see the asset pack’s flap animation implemented, and maybe some more of the backgrounds added for variation.

I wanted to add these features, but I had limited time due to other commitments.

Ok, thanks!

Am I allowed to work in a team and also sumbit a solo project?
