maybe I am doing it wrong? (twss)

rated and thoroughly enjoyed!

ok, this was really good. clever too. i started to get the idea and was hooked. do i shoot my own turrets? do i run? do i hide? balance was not easy. the theme actually works. i think it's one of the best i've rated so far. well done. one person too! will come back to play more.

I am not sure I understood the connection with the theme.

However, very cool! I wanted to understand if there was a benefit to moving with the rhythm, or perhaps a penalty. It seems to be only a restriction. Cool graphics, especially the moving trees ;)

Wow, If i didn't have to rate more games, I think I would be stuck on this. Nostalgia hit well. I kinda wanted a pokemon that could break the boulders, lol.

My only feedback is that it did rely a lot on the lock mechanism. Overall, cool!

i think the gameplay needs some work. i put the demons in my slot and i also managed to kill some, but overall, i am not sure i understood how to play the game lol.

good effort though! i think it's pretty cool

can't review on linux and will try again on windows

not sure the linux build works out of the box, will try again on my windows machine!

done ;) EERIE

you capture the vibe, very cool.

like the rest, the hold E needs work, otherwise good!

not sure how it ties to the theme. i think the game is a bit slow and boring. i love the visuals and the characters. i think if the game had a more mix of actions or abilities and cards, would be more slay the spire and would love that.

thanks and will fix In v2 after game jam ends ;)

definitely inspired by penusbmic (who isn't)

oh and if you do come across the similar concepts, please share!

thanks and agreed!

oooooh yeah! you'll see in GitHub I've already made some changes, you can see the animations I'm already using. would LOVE to see more.

thanks!

valid feedback. will definitely adopt them in v2

played and rated yours! <3

Not my genre of game but nonetheless, enjoyed it!

After I finished the diary and went on to the next day, my Mac mini m2 on Safari with 8gb ram stopped playing :(

So, I couldn't play it fully.

Well done! Well drawn, good details.

not sure if I'm > 10 but thought I'd leave a comment - checking yours out.

done

done ;)

yeah, the first 24h were great, core mechanics, all done. On Thursday I changed the entire core mechanics and was working on bugs till Sunday's submission. I think no audio was a better choice than "more bugs". Sadly, even the 3rd stage is not fun enough. And I had more enemies that didn't make the cut!

thanks!

Cool! Love the difficulty.

played, enjoyed and rated! nice entry.

hey! not bad ;) most don't manage to get past the last stage, and it's quite annoying.

Clever, love the arrow mechanics.

Bug free, complete game, well done!

Was fun learning GDScript in a week!
I started in C# which is what I use at work and quickly realized I won't be able to make it for web, so I switched to GDScript, easy to pick up!

This is my first game jam, and probably counts as my first video game, other than what I did in Flash when I was a kid, some 25 years ago?

Ran out of time for the audio. I really focused on bugs, and still left some in. I wanted to make 10 stages, but proud I made at least 3!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!

rated! fun entry, GG

I think it's a good idea. I love how the world is made, the 3d camera effect and the sounds made me laugh.

Overall, the lack of feedback on the interactions made me wonder if I did anything right lol.

I'm on a mac but I'll find a way to give this a try, probably via emulation (will do later today)

oh wow thanks! yes I agree, I'm excited to make a proper game out of this draft.

yeah, it's hard to get it right, it needs polishing to be enjoyable. do you like the idea though?

hey! thanks, I'm quite excited/proud of the concept. I wanna try and expand on it after the game jam. I think the idea can be worked on for something more fun. the current implementation is too draft/buggy to be able to enjoy.

oh it's an honor having you play your own character ;)
after the game jam, when I make v2.0, I'll add the other characters you made as enemies.

glad you liked it.

I absolutely love our artwork!
