Thank you for playing! I tried to create a layout that keeps surprising. Glad that it worked ๐๐ป
Indeed, some interaction need polishing. I plan to fix it in an update.
Thank you for playing! ๐๐ป
I am glad you liked the environments. I went with the "simple and slightly unsettling" vibe. My initial idea was to make the environments feel like theatrical scenery but I didn't have time to work on it.
This was my first attempt to make a story-driven game. I see a lot of potential in VR as a medium for interactive narratives.
Thank you for playing! Your comment is a joy to read ๐๐ป
This is my very first attempt to make a story-driven game and I am glad that you found it engaging. All my previous projects were purely focused on gameplay mechanics. My goal for the future is to be able to combine the two: a game that provides both an engaging narrative and an original mechanic.
The game looks beautiful! I liked the fluffiness of characters. Also, great voice acting for Mr. Heart in the main menu! ๐๐ป
I imagine that the pumping mechanic can get tiring but it works very well in a short game like this.
One time when I gave the character exactly what she wanted she seemed unhappy. Is this a bug or is it how real love works sometimes? ๐ค
Nice visual environment! Curiosity question: have you modelled it yourself or have you used an asset?
There is some flickering when using a VR device but this happens in many VR games.
The cables were quite difficult to grab but once I started grabbing the right part it became easier.
Overall good entry! ๐๐ป
Good job at creating such a creepy atmosphere! It fits the theme very well ๐๐ป
The glowing light cubes were very useful to navigate inside the house. However, it was difficult to find the shed outside without them. The area is very large but it feels a bit empty.
I managed to turn on the light inside the shed but the monster still got me ๐ฑ
Thank you for playing, for your feedback and, of course, for organising this gamejam! ๐ฆ
Indeed, the level design was rushed. Initially I planned to have 5 levels but I barely had time to finish these 3. I plan to add more levels in the future (along with some bugfixes). I am currently thinking about maybe adding some sort of combat system to make the game more interesting but I don't have any clear direction for it at the moment.
I didn't think about the idea to add some audio sources to guide the player. It sounds nice!
Overall I am glad that I was able to implement this game mechanic during such short time. I learned a lot and it was fun ๐
Thank you for playing and for your interesting feedback!
Initially I made a level without any arrows or hints. I play-tested it and found that it quickly became very frustrating to get lost in complete darkness without any sense of direction. I added arrows as a simple solution for this. I think that there has to be certain balance between having hints and exploration. But finding such balance requires a looot of time for level design that I didn't have during the gamejam ๐
Initially there was a "Start" button at the top of the main menu. I found that it was broken 30-40 minutes before the deadline lol. I had to remove it very fast and I didn't move the "Levels" button higher... ๐ I plan to add it back and to fix the "Continue" button in the future v1.0.1 release.
I also plan to add more levels. My current implementation allows to have multiple ghosts in the same level, so it can be fun imho. I am still thinking if it's possible to add some sort of combat system to make the game more interesting but I don't have any clear direction for it at the moment.
Good job for creating this maze game. Fighting enemies with light definitely brings some nostalgia about the good old Alan Wake game!

Sometimes enemies got me without me hearing them in advance. But maybe I should have tried with louder volume. I liked the idea of finding batteries as ammo ๐๐ป
Really fun idea. Bravo for your creativity! ๐๐ป
I especially liked the moment when the guy runs to open the door while being all excited ๐
It was a little bit frustrating that objects fall out of my hand if I hold them for too long. I'd rather want to be able to hold them longer in order to aim better.
It's super cool to see a mixed reality game in this gamejam. Great job! ๐๐ป
The gameplay is simple but voice acting adds a nice touch to it.
It ran smoothly on my Quest 3 device. I didn't find an easy way to disable the guardian. I had to manually draw the boundaries of the room around the walls, otherwise the device would pause the app and switch to pass through mode all the time.
