Who doesn't like going on a date with a waifu for life-u!? Especially when you add hand tracking too!

What I loved:

  • Cute and fun environment. Not too many games have gone with an anime aesthetic, so this was a nice change of pace.
  • Cool idea for a eating mechanic! Super funny to have a game where I gorge myself on as much food as possible in front of my date... I wonder if this is how my wife sees me....

Some Suggestions:

  • The menu was a bit broken, but understandable with doing hand tracking during a game jam. Especially if you're new to doing hand tracking.
  • I feel like the core game loop was there, but it didn't have enough time to be fully realized.
  • I'm not to sure it captured the theme of the jam, but that's not always important. I'm just glad you got a good submission in!

A pretty fun entry for the jam! Thank you for joining and putting in a fun submission! Cheers!

For whatever reason, my VRIK hands weren't tracking, and so it seemed I couldn't do much more than summon food on my plate with the UI.  It seemed to run relatively smoothly, once loaded onto my Q3, but I wonder why it had to be limited to a Quest, especially when it didn't work for me as an apk on my Q3.  I'd encourage you to consider prioritizing a PCVR build to reach more headsets in the future.  (You can always play it on your Quest from your PC, after all).

My suggestion aside, congratulations on getting a build in on time and in working order, even if it didn't work for me.

Great use of hand tracking, although did suffer a little from SMOHS - 'smacking my own head syndrome'... so perhaps the mouth trigger could be made bigger?

It was enjoyable and fun, but felt like it needed a little more to it to make it more exciting. Perhaps, like having things to avoid, having more than one sphere and picking the one with the most points - just to vary the gameplay a bit.

I did find the apk at 404Mb quite excessive for what it is - I think you might have some huge assets in there which could be compressed or reduced in size.

Overall, great effort and fun little game.

It's great to see a game jam entry that uses hand tracking. Nice job👏

Sometimes spheres appeared while the table was empty. I guess that eating some air also brings points haha

I ate pizza, hamburgers, toast, and all these other foods that are not Japanese in a Japanese restaurant with my Waifu! I live in Japan so I got a kick outta the traditional menu list on the wall and the option for a hyper realistic pizza with my big booba waifu. Hand tracking is so much fun, everything worked really well, I must say I probably slapped my headset a few times but it was all good!
