I like how you've done the drift, very satisfying to go around the bends.  A little more visual polish would've been nice but to be fair you got quite a lot in there especially solo! Would like to see what you'd do with it with a little more time on your hands

This is one of my favourites of the jam. you done really well, great visuals nice idea and good execution on  it with the level design!

Pretty cool game, removing the masters and growing your comrade numbers was fun. Is there a way to convert the tank drivers?

Thank you !

Haha you're right it does result in disaster pretty easily. It actually turned out harder than I would've liked to move around the obstales. I'm glad you tried it out though thanks!

That's great to hear thanks! Yeah a boost would've been nice. Early on I had it that you moved faster the closer together you were, and while that was a fun way of boosting without adding anymore buttons it did interfere with being able to correctly judge how to get past the obstacles. Looking at it now I should've just added a boost. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey thanks for checking it out and the compliment

Yes I wasn't happy with the instant death either, I had wanted a health system tied into a rewind respawn...as in every time you hit the wall it would rewind you 3 seconds before you hit and take away some health. I couldn't get the rewind to work properly though and ran out of time. Appreciate the feedback thanks.

Hey thanks for trying it out!

Hey, I don't see  CupidOfDeath...or am I missing something?

Very clean entry, I liked the music although at first I thought you didn't have any because it was a little low in volume. Nice puzzles and I like the titles of each level. Got all the way to the end, good job!

Very clever game and quite a few levels made too. I must admit I wasn't smart enough to figure out the puzzles unless I used a little trial and error. Still it was satisfying to get it right. This was pretty fun with just walls, I imagine if you take it further you could add other elements tot it. The core gameplay is solid though. Well done!

Those are some really good suggestions there. You're right, some juice/player feedback would make it a whole lot better. I kind of ran out of time unfortunately, as I kept going back and forth with the movement and controls. Appreciate the feedback thanks

I'm not sure if there's an ending as I got quite far before I quit. I really like the art of the game. The strikes feel good too. I think the enemies could be a bit more challenging and I think you may have a bug. My HP was stuck at 40 no matter how many times I let them hit me. It's a really good start to a beat em up and for what is there feels quite polished

I like how the ball was passed to more than just 2 people, making you think about your approach a little more. The shatter effect was good and the music suited the game well. I don't know exactly why but it reminded me of paperboy

Yeah no sound is a big loss in this. Thanks for checking it out, I tried yours too

I like the sound in this, sets the atmosphere quite nicely.  Though like a couple others have mentioned  I don't think its the best topic right now. If I was to add anything I found myself wanting to go 360 degrees around the track without floating off to the side. perhaps having the hazards all around the vein? other than that its good and has some nice polish

This is some really great feedback! Thank you.

Yeah I should've at least got some music in there, that's what happens when you leave it for last and get some game breaking bugs in the last stretch. I'm still learning as far as coding is concerned so I ended up spending most of my time trying to squash as many bugs as I could. I think I uploaded less than 10 minutes until deadline (html5 build that didn't work then managed to get windows build in there with just 2 minutes left! phew) Moral of the story...get a piece of music early!

To be honest towers being spawned randomly was again a  result of running out of time. I had wanted the ability to buy towers and have them populate  the base tile edges.

Yeah I completely agree with your observations on aiming, I'll be changing that up for sure.  Never played Kingdom Rush but the blocking minions sounds like a good idea thanks!

I spent most of my time  at the end trying to get rid of that bug you encountered. Thanks for playing through it! I'm going to have to start from scratch with a better base code to make sure everything works a lot better.

I really appreciate the time you put into this. Some good insights there! Thanks for the compliments you have a pretty good game yourself!

Thanks for trying it out and the good feedback, I,m glad you liked it!

I rated and left you some feedback.  Thanks for trying mine out

Yeah so true, I wish I had audio in it. Glad you liked the game though. I gave yours a try too

Nice music choice in this. I think as others have mentioned, getting your helpers to pick their own bags would be a good place to improve this. However I like that you can pass the bags to them. I found myself wanting to throw bags to them like how you throw stuff in overcooked.

(1 edit)

Yeah I agree more combinations would've been fun. I needed to manage time better for the next jam, and yeah the balance is all over the place in this. I 'll be adjusting that.  I'm glad you liked the idea and thanks for the feedback. I tried your game too

Launching yourself feels good in this. The weight of the little guy seems just right. I was a little confused with the targeting at first but it looks like the arrow flips depending on the last direction you were facing, once I figured that out I enjoyed it. The moving platforms added some good challenge, however I found getting on to them a little tricky, perhaps setting the physics to have less friction? Other than that it was some good level design and the main mechanic felt good to use. Goo job

I didn't think of that either, perhaps a good mechanic to add to this game

I hadn't actually thought of a speed up button but that would have been a good addition that I probably wouldn't have had time to put in haha I had a small how to play tutorial in there but it may not be enough , glad you figured it out though, I wasn't sure if people would get it but happy to see that result, I'll work on a more in depth introduction to everything. Honestly I ended up with the towers being randomly placed because of lack of time, I agree actually having some say in what comes in would be much better. Thanks for playing through the bugs, there are quite a few there, it worked a lot better a couple of hours before deadline...then I done something that had the tiles knocking the turrets all over the place...so panic coding right up until upload.  Really appreciate the in depth feedback, should help me improve it quite a bit.  Thanks!

I really wanted to have that for all the towers to show their effects but ran out of time. Thanks for checking out, I tried yours too

I like the idea. I think it would have been nice to hold down a button to have your companion  come  to you pick you up and transfer control to the companion to make it a little quicker o use them together. Cool idea though and presented very nicely

Just rated and left you some feedback. Thanks for trying mine

Hey I appreciate you trying it out. Yeah it isn't really balanced well due to running out of time fixing bugs. And I agree music and sound would've added a lot. Thanks

Good job on the level generation, I like the character you have in there that seems to give you bad advice. Some of the doors didnt work for me, I wouldve liked to have more interaction with that npc after the tutorial and a win screen of some sort. other than that it works well and looks nice

I've just rated and given you some feedback. Thanks for having a look at mine

I would've liked to execute on the idea a little better but I'm glad you liked it, appreciate the  awesome feedback!

So at first I felt like it wasn't working well. But then figured out he moves a lot better if you attract before you start the jump. Once I got that I really enjoyed it. The swaying movement of the character is nice and the art has a nice charm. Clever levels, particularly liked the one with 3 boxes. Would have liked to have seen more but I understand running out of time. I did as well. Well executed idea

Rated and gave you some feedback thanks for trying mine out

Thanks for checking it out. I tried yours too

Hey nice game. Your sprites are big but it works well in your art style. Looks Hollow Knight inspired.  I think the arrow could have had more speed and I think perhaps a dodgeroll would compliment the arrow gameplay for when the enemy is too close. One last thing...I really wanted to wear the crown in victory, I kept trying to click it as I was convinced I could as it was left there haha Good game

These jams are all about improvement, rate and leave feedback on my game and I'll do the same for you.  Cheers

Thanks for having a look, glad you liked it!
