There's lots of really creative level design here! Awesome work!

Thank you !

Very minimal game, I like it! The mechanics is intuitive, but at the same time challenging (when the balls are far apart, even a tiny mouse movement could result in a disaster).

Developer

Haha you're right it does result in disaster pretty easily. It actually turned out harder than I would've liked to move around the obstales. I'm glad you tried it out though thanks!

good concept, clean execution, and level designs that really understand how the balls control (i'd happily play 20 more).

not a huge deal but a 'run' button would be nice, or less empty space between some of the obstacles

Developer

That's great to hear thanks! Yeah a boost would've been nice. Early on I had it that you moved faster the closer together you were, and while that was a fun way of boosting without adding anymore buttons it did interfere with being able to correctly judge how to get past the obstacles. Looking at it now I should've just added a boost. Thanks for the feedback!

Great concept, the game has major potential with a bit of polish.

Developer

Hey thanks for checking it out and the compliment

Quite nice, but the instant death mechanic is fairly punishing in the later levels. Especially since it's not very intuitive to control the position of each individual ball. Some leniency would have been nice.

Developer

Yes I wasn't happy with the instant death either, I had wanted a health system tied into a rewind respawn...as in every time you hit the wall it would rewind you 3 seconds before you hit and take away some health. I couldn't get the rewind to work properly though and ran out of time. Appreciate the feedback thanks.

Nice and simple idea, perfect for a contest like this. We played it through and it has a nice balance of challenge and fun.

Hey thanks for trying it out!

This is a cool game.  You really did a good job with the initial levels, and I was able to enjoy the game right away.

I think this concept has potential, but I think you should look into adding some more"juiciness" to the game.  If the orbs snap together fast, or if the screen shakes when the two orbs touch each other, then it will really make the game feel immersive.

I recommend you checkout this game: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2021/rate/1079034 it has a similar mechanic, and does a great job with the "juiciness".

In any case, nice work!

Those are some really good suggestions there. You're right, some juice/player feedback would make it a whole lot better. I kind of ran out of time unfortunately, as I kept going back and forth with the movement and controls. Appreciate the feedback thanks
