I am currently working on making dungeons, bosses, and gods. Mind you, I'm making each of them have a short novel in length of backstory, even if the user only confronts it once per game.

Since you're a writer, you must be creative. I am the creator of 9 Planets, and I only need a companion that's preferably creative, and I think you could help me.

So, don't worry about working hard when you're here. Personally, I find that creativity doesn't require working hard. Here is the link to my game on itch.io: https://catsrule1234123.itch.io/9-planets

Here is the link to my project if you want to add ideas: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WzRUr6s5BAaxoIMFxUG8gh_O5v9YrJaqexcUUk3BhJc/...

I like the demo 2.

So, for the copyright. Can I just download it? Do you want me to include your name? I can do all this: you help me, I help you.

Very true.

However, itch could make a high profit off of this- especially if they take the tax interview and charge a 10% commision. Many people want to buy games, and accepts payments, but they don't have a PayPal account.

For this reason, I think itch could make a more than decent profit.

However, you have been in itch for much much longer than I, and you know way better :)

No no, itch.io would do the tax interview. At the end of the day, you don't own them; itch does. That's why itch has to take a percentage away... that, and because this system would be hard to implement. Importantly, because of this, I think itch could make money off of this. It could be another way to support them for being such a great platform for indie devs.

Thanks so much!

Join 9 Planets.

Here, you don't have to know how to program; only have a strong sense of creativity.

9 Planets is a very deep and complex terminal survival RPG developed by a single dev- me!

Install it, play it for a while, then you can decide whether or not you want to join me.

I'm interested. Here is the link to my game, make a rough draft for what you think is the best ambience music. It has to be like the storm's eye, or calm before ambush. Warning, but signalling exploration and danger. And at the end of the day, it's ambience music.

https://catsrule1234123.itch.io/9-planets

That's the idea!

Oh, okay.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that... you would be good feedback.

Unfortunetly, to simulate a terminal inside itch.io (using an HTML file!) would take dozens of hours.

I spend most of my time game designing and coding the actually logic.

However, thank you for trying!

I mean, if you can make them well, yes. I need a relaxing, normal, beautiful music, a exciting and heart-pumping music, a punishing but quiet music...

The idea consists in making it so that even if you don't have PayPal, you can accept donations and make people pay for your game. Whatever you gain, you can spend on other games.

For this to work for itch.io, they can take a tiny percentage of what you gain to store your money.

9 Planets is a terminal survival game with very deep and complex dynamics. If it loses something in graphics, it regains it loads and loads of personality, content, and depth.

Every time somebody plays it, they give me a new feature request, a request to add a mode, a request to change x. And I listen! In fact, I will listen to all your feedback, under all circumnstances.

Hello!

You don't need skill to work with me! You just need creativity. We can work together on my project, 9 Planets. You can add 2d graphics, but that would burn you out probably. Instead, you can add ideas!

To add ideas:

Hi all!

9 Planets is a terminal survival game where you explore and craft. I'm looking for feedback, because every time somebody looks at it, they say something could be changed, something could be added, etc.

Please don't say I just need graphics! You have graphics mode with emojis, and I am not advancing that. I prefer to advance the actual mechanics, thank you very much.

9 Planets Beta is a terminal game where you essentiallyhttps://vimeo.com/1210541633?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci#t=0 try to survive. To survive, you must eat stuff that you find throughout the forest. Obviously, that’s not the only thing.

You can craft stuff, build houses, fight, and explore new lands. And whatever it loses in 3D graphics it makes up in personality, content, and complexity.

You may be thinking: Well, there’s plenty of people that say they have personality, but how many people really actually do?

For example, there’s a cat companion you can adopt if you like (sorry dog fans. There’s only cats for now; I’m called catsrule for a reason). If you drop catnip (you can gather this) or meat (you can gather this by killing animals, but if you're an animal rights person, don't worry. Your cat isn't one, but there are some monsters, if you enable them, that you can kill to feed your cat.) Cats follow you, but if they see a rabbit or a squirrel, they prefer that over you (sorry!). But, since they're cowards, they will flee if a monster (a grot) appears. Cats have a loyalty score. If you pet them, you'll gain loyalty, but if you pet them too much, they'll be pissed off and you'll lose loyalty! If you feed them, they love you. Of course they do! There's nothing wrong with that, right? (oh, yeah. They do take advantage of you. Whoops. Sorry, people!). And just to prove that, a cat with a low loyalty will stay away! (unless you feed them...). Unless they hate you, they will sit on your things! Gurg, do you want fur all over you sweet berries? (whoops. I just made an argument against this game. I'm supposed to try to get you to play it. Hehe). Real cat sounds, as expected, using OGG embedded audio.

Warning: this is not your average casual game. If you like deep games loaded with personality, where you can spend tons of hours and even days, trying to discover the next thing you can do with your mansion, or crafting the top-tier weapons, or hunting the poor bunnies, or petting a bajillion cats (and then them getting mad at you!), then this is your game.

Worried about how it’s a terminal game and you like visuals? No worries, I’ve got you covered. I have a graphics mode, made of emojis. Some games made of emojis are… mpf. Don’t worry! Watch the video and you’ll see how mine isn’t.

Don’t compare between my description and this text. Please, do not… haha, I was in a different mood!

The best way you could improve this game is adding an ultra-sped up mode. Like, x10. Because it can't be that you wait for an hour for your AAA game to finish unless you have 80 staff members...

Nobody responded, so I will!

I survived lots of time: some 100 days. It was on easy mode though. On hard mode, the game is more focused on pure survival, and I like to build stuff more than just survive survive and survive. (just kidding. I'm not good enough to put on hard mode).

9 Planets is a free terminal game, but it has a graphics option using emojis. The emojis are fancy (if you've ever tried making a map out of emojis, you'll see that it looks terrible). I fixed that. It's great (at least for emojis).

Whatever it may lose in fancy schmancy 3d graphics it makes up in tons of personality and content. Give it a shot; it's free! Watch the video, and if you enjoyed it, make sure to leave a review or an idea in the link.

In this game, you explore, craft, and survive. To survive, you sometimes must kill monsters that are loaded with personality.https://vimeo.com/1210541633?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci#t=0

Hi all!

Many people did not download my game because it did not have graphics. I fixed that!

I do not have proffesional 3D graphics, or even 2D graphics, because, well, I only have so much time and I want to focus on the important stuff: the game mechanics! Instead, I added visual aid so you don't have to read so much: Emojis! It is a new mode. Check it out if you want, and 100% give me feedback!

Like I said in earlier posts, 9 Planets is a game where you explore, eat, craft, survive, and, in some cases, fight! It is packed with personality, and whatever it loses in not having 3D graphics it gains in being loaded with complexity and personality; for example, the cat companion (you'll learn more about that if you click on the link below).

Let me give you an image of the new graphics mode- along with some of the screenshots of normal mode!

Unfortuently, my screenshot is more than 3 MB  (of full screen, which is graphics mode and standard.) Sorry, and I'm sorry about this too, because you probably don't want to, but you're going to have to click the link...

Hi all! How many days did you survive? And what mode was it - easy, medium or hard?

Good evening!

I, a solo dev, have made a text-based terminal game where you explore, craft, build, and in some cases, fight. Although it is text-based, it has lots of emojis, and even has a "grid mode" for combat and hunt, so that is visual. And the spear throw dynamics is real skill not just luck like many games.

Most of the people reading this would not pay a cent for this game. However, it's free. So go to this page, read the detailed description, then decide whether you want to download it.

Thank you. The reason I am posting this is because I want feedback.

Good luck, explorer!
