11/10 game. Take your crown, king

Cool game! I think the 'pause' mechanic was a really great idea.

Awesome game! I thought the loud, obnoxious co-workers were a great use of the modifier lol

10/10     m a s t e r p i e c e

Thank you for playing!

I'll definitely take that red enemy comment into consideration if I do end up making changes to this game later on (after the jam).

Thank you for playing! :)

LMAO thank you!

Thank you! :)

Thank you for playing!

I think the invincibility frames is definitely something I would implement after the jam. It's a really good idea that would certainly make the game less ruthless lol.

(1 edit)

Thank you!

The camera smoothing issue is definitely something I'm looking to resolve after this jam is over.

Fun game! A bit challenging, so I did not manage to actually get to the red ghost unfortunately.

One problem I kept running into was that since the character runs so fast and the enemies can pop up so suddenly, I would often end up running into the enemies before I could react to them.

Very fun game! I'm happy to see mine was not the only game in this jam to use the concept of fighting enemies with sound.

Fighting off hoards of enemies was super satisfying, though I will say the game was very hard. And yes I did quit (like a loser :( )

Awesome game! I really love the art design and style for this one. I actually had a similar idea to this one for use of modifier, but veered in a different direction lol.

Fun game! The custom made sound effects were really funny!

Like others have said, I did find the game to be a bit too easy. Maybe adjustments to the in-game economy could balance this out?

But overall, great job!

This was an experience. I just kept clicking cards, and I kept on winning.

Visuals were really funny! That and the chaotic sounds did make this an overall enjoyable experience for me!

This a nice job for a first game jam! Like Ned said, you would probably be better off having both of your downloadable files here be part of one zip file to make it more convenient for players.

One thing I would like to point out is that the hitboxes on some of the speakers were a bit weird, where I could only hit them certain ways. And this didn't always feel consistent.

But again, great job for submitting this, and you should keep doing game jams!

Fun game! Cooking up different ammo types is a really fun idea!

I also love the visuals and audio design. It was really well done.

I do wish the game had better feedback, or maybe a tutorial. It feels fairly complex to play, and I only feel like I am learning more via trial and error.

I love the style of this game, and the control mechanism is very cool and fun! The art is awesome, and the sound design is really good as well.

Like others have said, I do wish the game was more forgiving. I got fairly far into it and died to an enemy encounter which ended my whole game. Restarting the whole game was too much for me to bear, so I subsided.

I do also wish the teleport mechanic functioned differently. Having so many different types of teleport in one (i.e. teleporting up, down, to a target, etc.) made it difficult to move exactly the way I wanted to be moving.

Great game! The movement mechanics are really fun.

Very difficult though. I think I got to about level 19 before I called it quits.

Masterclass soundtrack, I must say. And getting chased through the levels was genuinely very tense and fun!

Also that jump scare at the end was glorious.

Just for transparency, I'd like to say I've uploaded a hotfixed version of the game. Below are the changes I made

  • Fixed mouse sensitivity issue
  • Fixed issue where options menu in-game will not work
  • Added button to allow user to exit game without needing to Alt-F4
  • Improved enemy vision
  • Buffed trumpet (shoots notes faster)
  • Buffed clap (increased range)
  • Fixed minor camera issue
  • Made the sound for when the player gets damaged louder

Thank you! Unfortunately, I ran out of to resolve that mouse sensitivity issue. For some reason, the build doesn't work for changing mouse sensitivity in game.

If you want to try fixing this, you can go to 'Options' before clicking 'Start Game', and crank that mouse sensitivity waaaay up.

That's fine! Don't worry about it :)

Probably the best endless runner I've seen in this jam! Excellent work!

Good game! And great job with the presentation!

I didn't expect to see a game quite like this in this jam. It's a great concept, and extremely unique!

I did find it to be a bit complicated and hard to understand at times. But overall, great job!

Fun game! Nice work!

Very fun game! I really enjoyed the presentation of it. I do wish the player moved faster, or there was a 'sprint', but otherwise awesome job!

I really quite enjoyed this! It is quite a fun game. Unfortunately, my run was cut short due to getting trapped in the wall for some reason.

Incredible game! You did a fantastic job on presentation!

Good game! Really enjoyed the visuals!

Great game! Very impressive especially for one made in 3 hours

Cool game! I was not expecting to see a turn-based RPG in this jam

Nice game! It was pretty fun, but I seemed to keep getting stuck on elements of the environment

When I was reading the instructions to this game, I thought it would be really hard to get in to. Boy was I wrong!

This game is really fun, and provides a great mental challenge with each hand! Excellent job!

Very relaxing, very calming. Good game!

Very relaxing, fun game. Nice work!

Cool game! I was surprised by how fast I was moving initially, but I got the hang of it.

Fun game! Well done!
