HE'S ALIVE, HE'S ALIVE !!!


After 4 year in the grave, my game is back AND :

1 => CHOOSE YOUR SHIP PART
(The Hangar)

 

2 => MAKE YOUR OWN LVL AND SHARE IT 
(The Editor)

3 => PLAY FOR EVER
(Random level generator)

4 => EAR ME OUT
(Sound)

5 => ENJOY YOUR TIME
(Resolution of manyyyyy bugs: Bullet in center, infinite shot, movement issues, ect...)

6=> PLAY MY GAME ? Optimisations
(too many)


All of that in 1 week and a half, i release this version but there is still many issues and optimisations

All of that in 1 week and a half, i release this version but there is still many issues and optimisations

Hi, i don't got answers but i resolve issue myself and it remind me somethings, so here every reason for bug i remenber:

 - Cut and paste project in the project folder can bug superpower

- Check plugn you dowload and try instal/uninstall (MY SERVER-SETTINGS-System and plugin)

- NEVER name thing with accent:  é,à, ect...

There is some other things but my memorie smell fish, red fish. So hope it help.

Today's work

  • Drones's Script changed ( now target player a lot more )
  • Behavior5 done ( Kamikaze comming from top )
  • Behavior6 done ( Kamikaze comming from Left or right )
I don't show you, enjoy it in the next demo :p

Tomorrow's work ( I'm not going to do everything, eh!)

  • More Enemies ( at least two "hand-made" big enemies )
  • More Events (Stars shower, black hole singularity, scarp tempest with hide enemys
  • RESOLVING BUGS ( obviously )

  • Drones's Script done
  • Enemie8 added
  • Started an kamikaze behavior

Here the Enemie8 shooting drones who slightly follow you ( should be upgraded  )


Tomorrow's work ( I'm not going to do everything, eh!)

Hi, 

yhea no problem you can talk here, the pm is asked by a lot of people but it seem it never gonna be add. For the browser problem there is some component of chrome needed ( reason why i added a dowload link ), my engine dead so i can't ask how to add missing component on the browser version for multi compatibability. Sad you can't play it or dowload, can't really do nothing more :/

Haaaaaaa, got a work are good for my bank account but it's so hard to work on a project at the same time, i even waited the hollydays for get back to it.

Let's get back to the classics: space shooter.

I will try to end the game in 2 weeks (edit : well take more time in fact), today i just create the menu. ( i did more but i can't show it whit a gif.)

supra alpha Menu

There, what i plane to do :

* A little custom system :  - differents parts you can choose for you ship and some perks. (weapons,engines,shells,wings,and special)

*A gameplay fun and clear:  - you should clear the path before commercial ships go through it. (dangerosity lvl are about that )

*A micro comical story:  - each mission got her particularity and it's introduce by a litlle dialogue.

and more...maybe :p

PS: if you ever have some ideas for improve the game don't be afaid to say it even if it's almost end.

For me in steamwork = bad idea. I will not dowload it for sure and it seem  obvious that lot's of people interested by an editor like me will not search to dowload him in standalone. BUT it's best to focus on the main game, release him well done and LATER in a major update add an ingame editor with a place/site/itchio-page where share campaigns.

On an other hand, having the editor ingame to the first release simply make him better, the question are does it take a lot of time to make a clear editor ? if the answer are yes but that you are able to wait a little longer, so do it. Otherwise in an later update seem the best idea.

er... for an idie game be able to edit maps should be great (even better if players can share homemade campaign)

You can pet dog and cat: amazing ! a good sign for a future game ! 

There is no update cause there is nothing done for a long time. I've been called for a job and everything followed it.

But can't wait have a definitive planning and work on it again :D

well done, if i can give my advice i found it wierd on your gif that the big purple bullet disapear without any effect.

Here a tip :

change the orientation of an actor yourself - put a little Sup.log(this.actor.getOrientation()) - and cut paste.

Quaternion is complex and don't work with angles so it's the fastest.

but there is function who use angle, (in a hurry can't remenber, it seem there is "local" in it)

  • step 1: got a free good coop game - CHECK
  • step 2: Convince my little bro to play it - in progress even if almost impossible

lucky you,  i just connect myself. Here what i know:

Sup.setTimeout(1000ms,Nameofthefunction) // Wait and then call a function 
Sup.setInterval(1000ms,Nameofthefunction) // Wait and then call a function every 1000ms => use clearIntervall for end it (for timeout too)

And here a tips :

Use a local funtion, like that you can call it while the var it use are not deletes

Well you can still use it for make game like i do but if you expect uptade of the engine :  it's no update in sight.

The engine is still free, open-source and easy to use throught. 

For myself i still use it but i think execept for fast browser's games, he's not the one you should bet on.

  • Now some enemies can have spread
    • add spread to enemie5
  • reflexion about the color pallet. ( enemies red but bullet blue ? wtf... ) 
  • Code issue fix

Happy it please you! Actually the code and the sprites are not the hardest aspect i met when i developed the game, it's the levels design who is the most challenging.

Yeah, the default keys are not the most intuitive i will change that for the next demo.

There will be an abilities select screen, so for now, (except if you developed it), you can't really know what abilities does. i'm a bit sad you don't enjoyed the slow time ability through :-/

Sooner, but we can barely call it a demo :'D

Ps: I plan to create a easy lvl editor screen when i reach suffisent behavior and enemies  but shh, it's a secret.
