Current goals:

More Behaviors, Enemies and Events => Creation of a stand alone level creator ( for me and for you too ;D )

Original post:

Let's get back to the classics: space shooter.

I will try to end the game in 2 weeks (edit : well take more time in fact), today i just create the menu. ( i did more but i can't show it whit a gif.)

supra alpha Menu

There, what i plane to do :

* A little custom system :  - differents parts you can choose for you ship and some perks. (weapons,engines,shells,wings,and special)

*A gameplay fun and clear:  - you should clear the path before commercial ships go through it. (dangerosity lvl are about that )

*A micro comical story:  - each mission got her particularity and it's introduce by a litlle dialogue.

and more...maybe :p

PS: if you ever have some ideas for improve the game don't be afaid to say it even if it's almost end.

  • Fix the bug of the stars who still spawn when out of the game's windows / windows are reduce
  • Link options of musics and sounds to functions
  • Creation of a keyboard's button sprite  and animation / script associate 
  • Background code optimisation, there is no more lags

( The hangar scene is taking longer than I expected, so now I'm detailing )

  • Buy button work perfect and alow to equip parts ( take 80% of the time )
  • Fast started of parts's stats comparason (+,= or - are show on the stat panel whit values) ( in 20min :O )

Yhea, i try to make daily logs. In fact, one hour before the "deadline" i'm more productive than entire day. For the consistency i just past 2 days create a litlle LaserRay 'sprite animation ... not really "consistent" xD.

When i got a demo you will be fast aware of it! But actually it take months not weeks to create a game alone, was too much optimistic.

PS: Man, you're on fire ! so many devlogs you commented.

PSS:  Nice work whit CP UFO waiting it's final version (doesn't want being upset by the story' cut)

That's how it is sometimes . . . several days will pass before you have any meaningful game progress. But consistency is the key and eventually it will get better!

QUESTION :

I wish add more Enemies' Behaviors, here a recap of what i did:
  1. Appear Up and shot
  2. Left to right, (vice versa), while shooting
  3. Appear Left or Right and shot
  4. Appear Corner and shot

... any idea ?

It's looking good! What game engine are you using to make it?

An abandoned engine, im maybe the only one using it. I do not advise you using it execpt for litlle browner game. but here the name + link

It use typescript + the functions creators made, and it build an html5 code.

Nothing wrong with using an abandoned engine to make your game. That's pretty cool! I'm making my space shooter using Qbasic (QB64 version).

Yeah but i suppose that there is at least an existing community on Qbasic and that he is "ended"

Looks like retro MS DOS or 90s console game. I like it! Really! I am on the same idea as a developer with my game GALA.

Twice times i like your green coloured hud it is true about ms dos!!!

Behaviours. 

1) Check GALAGA game.  Old classic.

2) Enemies can try to fly on you and detonate near you. Asteroids can detonate after some time after they appeaer. They live 5 sec and explodes!

3) Myabe big slow enemies. With big sprite size.

4) auto piloted enemies on you.

5) enemies with diagonal moves.

Thank for the MS DOS tip this games look like a well of inspiration, i would use it when i run dry.

Good ideas recorded (finally someone answer my question  :D ).

Ps: GALA, on your gameplay video,  seems to be from another world with all the colors and this music, immersive, well done :O.

After 4 year in the grave, my game is back AND :

1 => CHOOSE YOUR SHIP PART
(The Hangar)



2 => MAKE YOUR OWN LVL AND SHARE IT 
(The Editor)




3 => PLAY FOR EVER
(Random level generator)




4 => EAR ME OUT
(Sound)

5 => ENJOY YOUR TIME
(Resolution of manyyyyy bugs: Bullet in center, infinite shot, movement issues, ect...)

6=> PLAY MY GAME ?
Optimisations (too many)


All of that in 1 week and a half, i release this version but there is still many issues and optimisations

For some reason it's not archived anymore 🤔
