Great concept.  Good music. Overall I enjoyed playing and competing it.

Tutorial lacks explanation on how to jump higher by shooting orbs faster.  Had to glean this knowledge from comments here. After that I completed the tutorial.

The 1 and only level seems to be designed in a way that you need to restart it to complete. What I mean is that there's a blue orb on top of the wizard, but to realize on how to get it you can't use the checkpoint that's underneath it. And it seemed you need 2 green and 2 blue orbs to jump over bolts later in the level to progress further.

To jump from a wall it seems your starting jump can't touch it, so I stayed away from a wall then pressed space to jump, then moved towards it to hit it, and then jump again. Sometimes that failed in tight ledges because there's a bit of bounciness involved so would get too close to the wall (can't jump higher) or I'd slide off the edge.

Thank you for playing  the game and giving your own feedback!

The   orb on the Wizard can be accessed  later on even if you break the green obstacle and activate the checkpoint.   (Though it would need 3 orbs)
The two bolts later require at least 2  orbs to  pass over them.   I think the only issue might arrive by breaking  the blue objects on the left edge of the map. I don't remember putting  a re-spawn action on them, as I was afraid of the player getting stuck in them as they reappeared.
I am gonna try to improve the controls  with jumping and Wall   climb.

Thankfully I did put a   Restart Level Button on the pause menu, even though I  hoped that no one would have to use it~

I agree with the previous comments on the controls and the tutorial's difficulty; after a reasonable effort I didn't actually finish the tutorial :\  (I got stuck on the part where one has to use shooting to go upwards - I saw now in a comment that the trick is shooting faster).

Additionally I feel it would be much nicer if the mechanics were introduced gradually throughout the game, giving time to the player to learn and apply them, instead of an "overdose" at the the beginning.

Thank you for your advice and for playing the game!  I will take the feedback into consideration!

I agree with a lot of the feedback already given.  Really a good game and concept.  Refining the controls would make it even better.  Not really sure if I missed something with the "keep pressing space to climb on ledges" part.  Once I realized you could accel by shooting that got me through a few obstacles.   Was a little frustrating not knowing which colors to conserve using them to climb and having to go back and recollect the correct ones.

Concept is cool, options menu is nice and adds some fit and finish to the game.  Adding the sprite animation was a surprising option.  Thanks for sharing this game!

It took me a while to reach the first platform with the red Orbs, for a tutorial it is quite challenging, but after figuring things out, I had fun, its a creative game. Well done!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback~
Do you think I should be editing the tutorial in a way? Either to make it easier or to add some more tips/hints? Like dots indicating the path you should follow?

I am no expert in game development, but I will share some advice I got from someone. When making a plat-former and the player can jump a distance of 5 tiles(or how ever you measure the distance) don't make the gap the player has to jump over 5 tiles wide, make it 4 tiles. This way the player won't get frustrated trying to make pixel perfect jumps.

As for the tutorial maybe you could add the part about bullets giving you a boost. I don't think you should indicate the path to follow, for me discovering the way is part of the fun.

What would be cool though is using the mouse wheel to change colors. This would give the mouse more of a purpose. The first time I played the game I wasn't sure what the mouse was for until I figured out it was for aiming the boost direction.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice. I will consider adding the mouse wheel for changing color.   And I suppose more information about using the mouse /orbs, during the tutorial.
Also  when a jump isn't perfect and you land on the wall  below the edge for example,  if you keep pressing space it gets you on the ledge.

I've been measuring in Pixels, since that's what I had available~

Hmm... Maybe I will find a way to make  the controls smoother and explain  everything a bit better in the tutorial

I really like the concept of the game but the controls could be more fluid. Tutorial had me stuck for a while on the section with shooting being required to propel upwards. It took me a while to realize shooting quickly would give me more force to reach higher. Still I have to say that it is creative and with some tweaks could be really fun. Good job on it.

Developer

I suppose that I should be adding in the tutorial the bit about how shooting orbs can propel you to the direction that you shoot~ Thank you for the feedback and for playing the game!

Nice game,

Just if controls were a bit smoother it could have become fast paced and lot more fun

Good Game none the less

I feel that the tutorial level is already putting things to the limits. Like, where it says "keep pressing space to climb on ledges" that only *just* works, there is very little leeway. (For me at least. You can blame it on my bad skills :-) )

I was able to get to the point where you get different colored orbs, but not beyond that. Which is a pity, because now I do not get to see the rest of the game.

Yeah the Tutorial is Linear on purpose to figure out the mechanics.~
The actual Level has obstacles that can be cleared in many ways .

Thank you for playing the game!!!
