Cool idea. Felt like it was hard to get started and I didn't understand why I was losing at first. Going negative in anything ends your run but that isn't very clear.

Hi there, looks like the downloadable file is for Windows only. Do you have a Mac-compatible build? Thanks

Developer

Oh, I didn't noticed that. It should be Mac-compatible.

I just Uploaded an HTML5 Version, although it got some bugs. mainly the first cards, but than it fixes itself.

This is a simple, well-balanced game and very addictive! I’ve made it to Empire and I need a break but I can’t stop myself from continuing. Great work balancing the difficulty, I’m curious to know whether you followed an analytical method or if you found a good balance with practical tweaks and testing.

Mostly math, but I also tested it myself to make sure it feels good enough.

Winner! Thanks for the fun.

Liked it a lot, the concept is good and I found once I was done with it a lot more time had passed than I thought. Would love to see it expanded into something bigger!

Downloaded and played it. Very addicting. The font is not good, It kinda looked arabic but i realized it was english.

I love this game! I haven't beaten it just yet, but the premise of the game is very good, and I have enjoyed many games like this. Reigns on Steam, Underhand on the PlayStore, etc. Great styles of gameplay, and lucky to have a new one to add to my collection!

At first, i didn't know what I was doing and end up killing my civilization, but after some tries, I finally understood how to play and it became quite addictive and made me think about what to prioritize and the pros and cons of my action. It was a great game.

Nice work, the strategy you had to follow was interesting. It was a bit hard for me to read the letters and the numbers because the font is not so thick but despite that, it was a great submission.

Despite the lack of music/feedback to keep the player more entertained during the gameplay, I still played until the end. The interesting card types were very intriguing to me and I found myself very invested in winning and transforming my settlement to the next level. With some more interesting visuals or maybe surprise events that happen throughout the gameplay, this game would be even more amazing. Overall a really strong submission, nice work!

What a gem! Played until the end!
I only wish the target numbers are next to the current numbers so I could glance at it more quickly

It took me a couple of runs before I realized what I was doing, but then I got addicted enough to finish it. I enjoyed the balancing of resources. This reminds me a bit of a game called The General where you have to plant grain, obtain armies, fight wars, etc. etc.. Nice entry.

This is pretty good, though the gameplay does feel a bit lacking due to the minimal feedback and lack of music. Its a basic game and it serves its purpose as a strategy game, there is a decent amount of strategy here, so you DO have to work your brain a bit, which I really like. It just feels like the games missing alot, but theres honestly some solid groundwork here for a really solid strategy game!

Balancing the development of a society through a simple, randomized card game worked well and offered some compelling resource management! I do feel it would have benefited greatly from some ambient music, since the clicking of the cards can feel somewhat lacking without a calming track underlying it.

I also liked the art style of the society displayed in the center of the screen and found the UI of the cards and interface to be easy to grasp after a first run attempt. Like with the audio though, it did feel as though it would benefit from something else being added, such as the movement of villagers walking around from building to building or other animations.

I did feel that the game had a solid challenge and some quality balancing in its progression. A solid entry!
