Took me a while but I finished it.

Loved it. 

First of all pixel art style, already a big plus. 

Secondly, there were some good amount of upgrades. Each upgrade gave their own satisfaction.

Thirdly, The sound effects and background music was just amazing.

Definitely one of the most complete feeling games in the jam! Really addicting loop — kept saying "just one more upgrade" until I beat it haha Only critiques would be that there was no indication when you were hitting a stone you couldn't mine yet and I never had any incentive to buy torches because the headlamp was so good, so maybe headlamp upgrades instead. Either way, super fun to play!

Loved the atmosphere of the game, but I didn't understand the link with the theme (until i read the comment section haha)

really fun mining game with a nice progression / powerups. I loved the treasures, the ghost in the middle, and the twist when drilling at the end. Beautiful pixel art graphics mixed with a great soothing soundtrack, a relaxing gameplay and some great lighting / sound atmostphere. Really fun and addictive, awesome job!

This was the most addictive game I've played in the jam so far.  Really nice gameplay loop.  Was the concept of scale the increase in your digging ability and stamina over time? Anyway, I think this could be a successful game / app release.

Thank you for the kind words. The initial concept was linked to gold, as it is typically measured with scales, and this evolved into the idea of scaling your mining operation over time. We also considered incorporating a dragon theme, as dragons have scales and are known to be connected to gold. However, this idea was eventually dropped because lack of time, which explains why the last layer is named 'dragon stone' even though there is no dragons to be found.

I enjoyed this game quite a lot. It had a satisfying gameplay loop and I liked the lighting. One small issue was that I bought the shovel after buying the pickaxe (thinking I could switch between them), which meant I lost the pickaxe upgrade.

This is an enjoyable game with a pretty cool vibe. I like the feeling of progression I get every time I finish a day. Overall its a good experience, but I wish that the tutorial was included in the game

Thank you for trying out our game! This issue likely comes from the lack of visual and audio feedback when receiving items. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to implement these quality of life improvements into the game.
