This game is simple, but gave me a lot of stress. You took the theme in a very unique manner.

That was awesome! It was very fun managing the elevators and improving on my earlier times. At first I was confused about how to actually close the elevator doors and send the workers up. After I realized how to do it the game was a lot of fun. You did a nice job of balancing the game and requiring the player to optimize their deliveries in order to complete the levels.

Thank you very much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it

Hey, this was really good! I was looking forward to a 3rd level to really test my skills when I was informed I had won. Having to balance so many different factors made this a bit of a brainteaser and my strategy evolved between the times when I was shoving workers into their elevators.

My hot tip would be giving the player something to do while all the elevators are in motion. Either something to look at (a camera view of elevators arriving at their floors?) or some mechanical advantage (click the doors close button on each floor arrival to gain a few seconds there), some silly banter to read among the waiting workers, or just some kind of automatic speed-up until an elevator is back on Ground Floor.

I also really liked the gray-toned graphical style and the elevator music is just spot on. Nice entry, I really enjoyed it.

Thank you Lanyard! Glad you enjoyed it. Will definitely keep your suggestions in mind.

Great and polished game! Very well done. The visuals are unique, the sound design is thematic, and think that the challenge of the game is in a sweet spot. You nailed the scope of the game and I love the various mechanics.

The only feedback for future improvements that I could think of are these points:

  • In some cases, it is possible to take advantage of the paused game. You can pause and read some information without any stress, do some math in your head, and plan a few steps ahead…
  • The clock ticking in the pause menu was a bit misleading as the game time was paused.
  • It took me a few clicks and keystrokes to figure out how to close the tablet. :D

Off-topic: I think I also had one initial game idea with elevators, but I wanted to “scale” in terms of the “number of elevators you need to operate” and you would be actually in charge of moving the elevators, not placing people in. But went in a different direction afterward. :D

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I suppose I could've chose to not freeze time when the pause screen is up. As for the tablet, you'll actually just need to click on the black button on the top of the tablet. But I think I didn't explain that too well in the tutorial section.

Not stopping the time when the game is paused might not actually be good either. I played another jam game yesterday, where there was no pause at all and I failed multiple playthroughs just because something came up and I needed to pause the game for a minute.

Really cute little game about task optimization. I was a little turned off by the text up front but once I got to the game it was great. I like the idea of  slower heavier elevators vs faster lighter ones. It makes for an interesting space to solve. The art is super cute and professional and the sound serves well. The game plays well though I occasionally missed and put someone I didn't want to. Overall a really fun concept. I didn't use the prequeue much but I used the storage a lot. It feels professional and well done.

My favourite thing in all the game is the scale of difficult. Love it!

The tutorial was like: "Damn, much text" but looking in comments I readed that you did too late. No problem, It's only 1 month to make a game.

Nice job!

Using the "scale" theme with the weight limit of elevators was very clever. I've enjoyed the overall feel of the game and the increasing difficult levels.

On the other hand, I would have preferred an organic tutorial over the initial amount of text.

Congrats. Very well done!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Unfortunately I did not prioritize implementing an in game tutorial and I left it too late, so I had to make do with using text :( . But thanks for the suggestion

It reminded me the times where I was making threaded elevator programs.  Game play was unique and fun and seems balanced.  After everyone is boarded  game should go into fast mode.  I had to use cargo elevator for the last 5 guys and It took forever to finish with nothing to do.

Enjoyed the game very much.

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I think a fast mode could be really beneficial, thanks for the suggestion

Really fun! I liked the presentation and the gameplay overall. It was fun figuring which employee/elevator to prioritize. It felt well balanced. I kept missing my clicks when choosing from the reserves which slowed me down a bit, but it wasn't a big issue. It would be cool to drag directly from the reserves list somehow. But overall is was good!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah the reserves feature could still use some work, but I'm glad you enjoyed it

Nice double use of the theme :).  And I'm digging the elevator music!  The black and white motif fits that too, nice work.
