  • Interesting concept, some more visual clarity could help with the controllable companion such as UI icons and a bar indicating the mana crystals the player collects contribute to their companions life.
  • Cool little game fits the theme of the game jam well. I didn't download the game as this was a violation of rules as it must be playable in the web-browser so the experience has been down rated for consistency across the competition. The gameplay itself in places wasnt so clear which also hurt the experience part.

Hey  Matthew Muller, Jym_44, Cornelius_TheGreat !

How are you my name is ilias , i tested/played our game "Mage Fight" ! .

______________________________________________________________

Well crafted game art and simplistic visuals when properly made can be a beautiful choice for a video game including 2D views and environements

it's seems challenging to me to create a video game , and i have a plan to do so too in the future when it's possible to me and a long as i can .

Fun Games can be cool and can be adventurous and nice memories !!

Questions:

Did you implement any optimization techniques, or did you choose to use only in-engine optimizations?

What engine and tools did you use to create your game, including the graphics?

How challenging was it to develop your game? Did you face any significant obstacles?

What inspired your game idea and gameplay? Could you share the story behind the game's name?

How did you get into video game development?

Note: It would mean a great deal to me if you could rate my game. If you haven't already, feedbacks from friends and fellow gamers is valuable to me. Thank you in advance for your consideration and your time.

Thanks!

Ilias.

The controls felt really nice & responsive. The artwork for the characters is also nice but the platforms do stand out a bit. Nice little couch game to play w a friend.
Sucks that the WebGL build has the game breaking bug :(

Thank you for your kind feedback! We're working on improving the environmental art and adding more levels at the moment.

That's awesome to hear! glad the game is going further!

I liked the idea. Does the attack only work if you play a blue character? If I could figure out how it works, I could have fun for a few minutes with a friend.

Developer

Hi, thank you! The attack only works for the summons. We’ve unfortunately had a lot of trouble getting the build to work in WebGL for whatever reason, so it’s likely the reason it isn’t working for you. The downloaded version works properly though.

I also had problems with exports... In my game on the Windows version, everything is fine in my game, but when I uploaded it to itchio, the leaderboard stopped working.

Developer(+1)

That’s so sad :( At least the Windows build works.

I forgot to upload the Windows version to the game page (I didn't think anything would break)...

I was unable to really get into playing this game. The controls describe how you would use them, but them game itself does not seem to reflect this.

I would love to give an earnest review, do you have some tips or advice on how to play?

Developer

Unfortunately, the webGL build seems to have a bug that stops you from being able to switch between the mage and the summon. We’ve been trying to find a solution but haven’t been successful. The PC build works though.
