I only just realised that I don't need to be a dev to rate your game for the Jam. Got my comment in there in time.

Wow, just read it, that was an epic write-up. Thanks docnutnut!

I just opened the game and there was an error in my Outerworld team's description.

Looking at their HP it was listed as 13/13, 14/14, 15/15 & 15/15. They all looked a little low, but as they were at 100% I didn't mind fighting. The level opened and they were all at under 50% HP. In fact they were at 13/30, 14/29. 15/33 & 15/35.

So the initial page showed their current HP as both actual and max. I usually stop Outerworld at a rest site, so I wouldn't have noticed this happening before so I don't know if this is a new or an old issue or just a freakish one-off.

Anyway, another issue to look at.

Could it be a Max HP increase from leveling up, or were they still the same level?

I think it was just a visually incorrect list of numbers. I'll check again in a moment and see if the same thing happens.

Another visual error that I have noticed in the last update or two is that when a battle begins and a character still has a shield from the previous battle, the shield icon remains, the shield bonus remains active on the HP bar, but the actual shield is not visually there.

I wonder if this is a device-specific case where the object just fails to be created, or if it's more nuanced.

Here is a quick test, pre-battle dialogue you can see a character (far left) that has a shield that they've had in a previous run:

Do you get visual effects that persist for other effects into other battles?

I'll pay attention to that too now and report.

The visual mistake isn't all the time either. I have only noticed it on one character from my team - Skelderdark. It didn't happen to the other members. Other status changes were visible, but Skelderdark never had others, so I can't comment and now he's dead due to a very unfair scenario that just destroyed me.

Hoooollly! I don't think I've ever faced an enemy team that big!

It was a Scenario, and one that I had never seen before, the thing I needed to click. I will not be clicking it again. It looked like a little vertical tube with a light at the top, floating. Really small.

It probably spawned two teams back to back before the battle began (shouldn't happen (probably a bug))

The skeleton's shield was not kept, I chose it to begin the round.

No error this time.

Maybe a one off, or maybe it needs to have been a longer pause than 20 seconds between opening the game, OR...

...maybe it was showing me the HP of my Expansion team. they are all around the 15 mark with HP. Maybe the numbers I 'saw' were a little off. The mind does play tricks and all.

Anyway, the numbers were incorrect at first. Could be showing me current as max, or could have been expansion team's stats. Two things to check out. If it happens again, I'll pay more attention, maybe take screenshots too.

I don't usually bother with screenshots because itch won't allow me to upload them unless I am using a VPN and my VPN has been not working too well lately, but it is working at the moment.

I guess a glitch vanishing is more annoying than it being figured out as it hasn't actually vanished, it's just not visible.

Haha, yes ^^! The toughest bugs to solve are usually the rarer ones.
