I like your choice on the game to take inspiration from, good pick! I think you executed the style really well on both gameplay and visuals! The only issue i had were the controls, but only because my main preference for movement is usually WASD, but I managed to adapt to it to the very end. The fact that you made this on your own game engine is awesome! And this entry you made should be an achievement for the hard work you've put in to making it happen! Great Job!

Really nice looking game! Good to see people taking inspiration from one of the best. My only change would be to make the movement less floaty in the air.

Nice game. It is a bit wonky physics wise and the player didn't properly load when I tried to run it the first time, it could've also benefited from an actual install guide since it feels pretty uncomforting getting AV software on my skin while trying to find out as to what to do.

Developer

Hello, Thanks for the feedback. I apologize for that installation problems. The game was made using a game engine I'm working on it and it's still immature.

The fact you actually made it on a homemade engine still is a mind boggling thought. While the final product is well... What I said prior, you really should give yourself a pat on the back as you deserve it

The physics are a bit janky, but you get used to it for a while, the controls are also a bit unintuitive, Z to jump and X to dash would be much better imo. The graphics are extremely good and so is the music although it didn't loop for some reason. Really liked the level design, it was tough and challenging but not too unfair.

Thanks for the feedback. The music didn't loop because I forgot  to implement looping sound lol.

This is a really good platformer! I really like the art and vfx, plus the design is very solid. The control feel a tad bit floaty for me but nothing to bad. Overall, this is an excellent entry, well done :D

That was a solid platformer, very polished mechanics for sure. Unforgiving with some of the spike placement but the quick restart on each level felt fair. I got stuck on the top right of the map where you pickup the two leaves. I couldn't get back down, no matter how many times I tried to go back. I think I was probably supposed to get those leaves last.

Developer

Actually you are supposed to collect the leafs in any order you like. But I think I might have made the return path harder.
Maybe I should've given the game to be tested before.

Thanks for the feedback!

impressively well polished game, great pixel-art, the sfx are really good and the platforming is fun! the air movement was a bit hard to control but it wasn't much of an issue to enjoy the game
