Wow! Fifth reply to you from that message.

Bug report, not a bad one though.

Once you buy the Temple of Mews blessing and it vanishes from the menu, when you return there it is still there. The icon is there, the level and instead of the cost, it says the name of the item under it. If you click, there is no specific information. Basically it doesn't want to leave.

(+1)

That's odd. I think I know how to fix this bug, I'll look into it :D

(+1)

And I think I have it figured.

How to get the final monologue for each character.

It's not about level or speed, but about when I buy their final item, right?

And I just had an error. I am unable to post a picture of the error as without a VPN I can't do that here. China problems always on the internet.

It didn't reset the game,  but here is what it says:

An embedded page at v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net says

An error occurred running the Unity content on this Page. See your JavaScript console for more info. The error was: RuntimeError: memory access out of bounds

at https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/8777349/Build/Noncompressed%20Build.wasm:wasm-function[493]:0x68736

Then loads more lines of similar stuff. I have no idea about all this tech stuff. I just play, watch, read and write. I leave the coding for others.

I also am not going to check my javascript console for more info as I don't really care.

OK. I am going out for the night. I will leave the game running as there is not much else I can do with it.

Maxed Blessings (again), Level 19 Throne Room, 1 billion Favor.

I am thinking that it might be nice if unspent Blessings had a passive effect. Now that I am firmly in the endgame, I have 608k blessings and growing which are pointless now.  If each one gave a percent to something, things would be going much quicker now.

Anyway, at least you won't be pinged all the time for the next few hours!

Later...

One more thing.  Purrcules has bugged out.

His level is currently at - 400000000000/9999

with earnings per second of -5E+52/s

Both numbers are gradually increasing, so hopefully it'll be fixed when I return.

He is level 19 in the throne room.

And he's back to normal again as making 5e+52 doesn't take long these days.

Anyway, another oddity to wonder about.

EDIT: Loads of my cats are doing it now. I guess the level is limited to that number just around 2.14 trillion which causes everything to go into minus numbers when it is reached. That needs to be changed or I will never see any more than Hairy and Meowruto's final messages.

(1 edit) (+1)

This really is a game ending error. Levels need to be done in the same way as currency: m, b, t, q, Q etc.

When they bug out and go into minuses, they are removed from the Upgrade drop down menu which makes buying their last item even more troublesome, assuming I can actually earn enough currency.

I have never thought their levels would reach such high numbers, but I guess since you've made it this far, increasing the max level does make sense. Let's hope nothing breaks when changing that lol

And thanks so much for all the feedback, I just need the time to work everything out :D

If you read my story, then you know that I like P-Nutting games.

It would seem that the 2.14 trillion barrier is the easiest fix as your other numbers go up to 9.99 Centillion visually and beyond as 'Way too much.'

Yes, I've read your story and it's quite remarkable how much effort you put into games :D

I would like to add an easter egg for you, I'm just not sure what kind of text I could use.

So far I've come up with the following:

"Knock knock!" - "Who's there?" - "Doc" - "Doc who?" - "docnutnut!" - "I don't get it."

But I can change that to something else, if you'd like :D

About the level barrier: I've just tested it out and there seem to be no issues with changing the type of variable. I don't know if you have any experience in programming, but I'll try to explain: there are certain variables, such as numbers, texts, etc. For the max levels, I've used a variable called "int", short for integer, which can display whole numbers from -2.14 trillion to 2.14 trillion (or 0 to 4.29 trillion, if you drop the negative sign). This can also be seen in 32-bit systems, as 2^32 equals about 4.29 trillion. So to increase the limit, I need to use variables that can display higher numbers. The largest number, that can be displayed, is 10^308 and can only be reached with the variable called "double", which not only displays whole numbers, but decimals, too!

I had feared that changing the type of variable would reset all levels back to 0, but after testing, it seems like the numbers were converted correctly.

Hmm, memory access out of bounds, sounds to me like there is a problem with too much going on in the game, not sure. I'm fairly new to programming lol

Yes, there is a monologue for when you reach level 9999 (highest milestone so far) and one for when you bought all of the upgrades.

Not sure if you read my replies to that message.

When character levels reach 2.14 trillion, they switch to -2.14 trillion  and work their way back to zero and then start levelling again.

This really is a game ending error. Levels need to be done in the same way as currency: m, b, t, q, Q etc.

I've found out that this only happens with "New Furmware" level 9. Wasn't too difficult to fix it :D

Max Level Auto Buy isn't very fast for buying items. From a Favor Prestige it takes 58 seconds to buy everything up to the first Qvg item. Buy All takes two clicks.

Auto Cat Buy generally works well as its effect is aided by having the houses, but Cleocatra sometimes take an extra second or two to appear. This may not seem like much, but with my end game pointlessness, one run for 18 million favors should take about 8 seconds, but when Cleo is sleeping this becomes 10 or 11 seconds. Doing this thousands of times means I am losing hours with the Cleo issue and it also makes me realise something else. I should find and install a mouse movement and click recorder.

What do you mean with "max level auto buy"? If it is what I think it is, this works for cat levels only, not for upgrades. There is no such option to quickly buy upgrades yet (other than using the "Buy all" button.

And I've also noticed other problems regarding buildings, so I'll look into that. Hopefully the next update can go live by Monday :D

(1 edit) (+1)

I see that you have done an update with the levels fixed, but doing so have severely nerfed the buildings.

The speed at how they run has dropped down to their default setting. One cycle of the Throne room now takes 100 seconds, it used to take 3.33 seconds.

And the amount earned per minute is also a fraction of what it was. I don't know exactly what that fraction is, whether it is also 1/30 of what it was or more.

It would be nice if everything bought before with favors, gifts and blessings could be seen somewhere. As it is they are all hidden. Part of the update is a menu of everything that has been written, but there is no record of everything that has been bought.

I mentioned this partly because the update seems to have nullified all my blessings that affect the buildings.

Meowruto's level goes up by 500 per second now. At that speed the game would need to run for 5 years before he hit 2.14 trill, last night he hit every now and then as I played

(+1)

It took me about 8 seconds for an 18 million favor run before the update. Now it takes up to over 100 seconds. The game is unplayable for me now. I will return if/when it gets fixed :'(

No worries, everything works as it should :D

I nerfed buildings because they were pretty op, check the Changelog for more info. ,:)

(+1)

The update says you:

Multiplied Building base training speeds by 30, so cats don't gain levels too quickly

But they have been divided by 30.

Even as it was running before the update, it would have taken me months to get all the final messages. Now it will take 30 times longer.

My training speed is as it was before I spent any blessings on training speed.

You are correct, it should have said "training times" instead of speeds.

Buildings have been made slower, you saw for yourself how powerful they can be :D

I felt the need to slow progress somehow and this is one way to do it.

I'm sorry if this balance change made the game worse for you :(

(+1)

Purrcules took a few minutes to reach level 2.14 trillion. He now takes 20 years. The endgame is gone. I was playing to get the final messages which are now not going to happen even if I played 24/7 for the rest of my life.

It was a fun game, but this is where I leave. Formula 1 wouldn't be as interesting if their cars were replaced with model T Fords with square wheels.

You will reach higher numbers with the next major update

The game wasn't meant to "end" this soon, as this is still a beta

But I understand your concerns, I can only hope you'll be back for the next major update :)

I wish you a great time and good health!

I've started trying Meowruto RPG.

Once you select the boss, unselecting it doesn't do anything, you can only fight the boss for ever. Even switching to the next stage doesn't stop the first stage boss boss fight.

Once you change stage, you can't go back to the old stage.

Trying to fight the stage 2 boss freezes the game, requiring a reboot and (in my case) a loss of XP.

I can see that this is a very early stage work in progress. Are you planning to have similar areas for each of the eight buildings?

Yeahi haven't really touched Meowruto RPG in a while, it's still very broken.

If I ever find the time I'll put more work into into, but as of now I have other priorities.
