I love this game. The music and general vibe remind me of Adventure Time. The upgrade system made it very replayable and the polished, well thought out gameplay were really nice. Also I like the death screen lol
cool little game using tears as a projectile was a smart idea and I really dig the aesthetic.
The only nitpick I would have is that the spawn grace period fells 1-2 seconds to short.
Very good and fun game! Liked the music and had fun getting overpowered and clearing the layers in seconds.
A few things I noticed:
- the music gets drowned out when you fire too many projectiles (happened at around layer 30)
- the mouse sensitivity is way too high
- when unlucky enemies can spawncamp you. It might help if the player is spawned in first so you have time to react and there is maybe a "safe circle" where no enemies can spawn near the player
- it would be cool to have a dash or something
Overall a very fun experience!
This is amazing! It's very creative and very fun! The only issues I've had were the mouse sensitivity and the game isn't that optimized well (my laptop couldn't handle it lol) Great work!
Amazing game, had a blast playing it!
Minor issue: Mouse sensitivy was wayyy to high on the power up screen.
Your take on the game's theme adds an exciting sense of adventure,
The graphics and audio, while not mind-blowing, do the job well and enhance the overall experience.
This game is so incredibly stylish and polished, I adore the way the walls morph around your character as you approach them. I love the way the tears sound hollow and squishy. I now understand the sensation Stanley Yelnats and Zero must have felt eating those onions at the end of Holes. It's a genuinely inspiring game jam entry to play
This game is a 10, it reminds me in terms of graphics and sound of gonner a similar roguelike.
From the start, infinite onion has a presentation on par with any game on the market.
The aesthetics are beautiful, the music and sounds are very good, the game feel they provide is great.
The mechanics are simple and very well implemented, and the game is really fun.
The only negative points that I see in the game are that the spawn of the character in small levels can feel a bit unfair and that when you already have many tears the sound is bugged.
Nothing more to add when you release this game for sale rest assured that here you already have a guaranteed sale!
first off, i LOVE the visual style. its so unique and vibrant and the animations fit really well, i havent seen any jam game look this good so far. i also really enjoy the rougelike (i think) gameplay loop. very addiciting, and very fun. If i had one complaint, it were to be that the hitboxes are a tad bit small on the enemies; you think you wouldve hit them, but they just barely skimmed them. But besides that, this is really well put together! definitely one of my favorite games this jam.
At first I entered the onion. Then I became the onion.
This game is absolutely incredible. I love everything about this game. I can't believe you pulled this off as a solo dev. I have nothing else to say besides please expand this game and push it on the app store or the Steam store so I can buy it.
Loved playing this game! Really liked the style this game has. I will say however, that you eventually get to a point in the game where you basically become a god and destroy everything and nothing can kill you, so to fix that you could make the enemies stronger every couple of layers to combat that. I also found a minor bug that isn't really of any fault of yours; when you shoot too many bullets at once, since there are so many audio sources, it cuts out the background music. I do know that increasing the music's audio source priority would fix that. Overall, great fun game, and I would love to see the improvements done on it in the future!
Thank you for playing! Sorry I couldn't make it to your stream, but I enjoyed watching back the footage and taking notes. I'll definitely be balancing out the gameplay in the future to make it more challenging. As for the audio bug, I upped the music's priority as you suggested and it seems to have fixed it. Thanks for that :)
The INFINITE ONION!

- The variety in upgrades was fantastic and made for some new experiences!
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. π€·ββοΈ
- Maybe spawn the player in, and then have little circles that show where the enemies are gonna be so you can have a little bit to react, thats all!

I never would have guessed that I need a trippy game about a multi-layered onion.
Well polished, interesting tape on the theme. Really good job!
I became one with the onion. I reached floor 60. I am a god now. My tears destroy everthing in it's path. The infinite onion, will be mine.
