This is insanely good. It feels like a month-long jam project at least. The art is beautiful, the music sets the vibe perfectly, the controls feel good just mosving around, the narrative is well-written and extensive. What an amazing job!

How does your game fit the theme?
Diving deeper is interpreted in two ways. You literally dive deep into the ocean and you are diving deep into an investigation.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets (art, SFX, VFX, UI) and code were made from scratch besides music.

Great background, smooth sprites, I really enjoyed the world's aesthetic. Great stuff guys.
Impressive work, and you made most of the assets. I added it to my "must finish" games. I love the color palette, art style and writing. I like the NPCs talking sfx, but i thought it is a little repetitive.
Could you try our game too? It's a 2d platformer, and it was our second game jam and one of our first games so far! Your feedback would be really appreciated!
A very ambitious idea for a game jam project! Presentation and execution was very clean. My only real gripe was with the case submission UI. I thought clicking the submit button on the bottom would take me to the next conclusion I needed to input, but it ended the entire sequence! It's also very punishing to have to start all over from the beginning and have to gather all the information again
Thanks for playing! Yeah, that UI went in very last minute unfortunately and didn’t get any iteration time. If you know the password to the throne room, you can just skip straight to the submission process without talking to anyone else. You’ll only be missing the motive, but if you’re correct on the other guesses, you’ll pass without it!
What an amazing mystery game! Really pretty and having the short little platforming segments to break things up and allow you to explore is a brilliant idea. I wish I was a little smarter or had a retry solving the mystery option because I totally got it wrong lol
Wow, what a great game! I was impressed at the amount of depth in the game itself as well as in the dialogue. The notebook was helpful and a really cool feature. I got sucked into the story and had fun solving the mystery.
This game is very well done, so underrated! Love the UI, love the level design, the art, the interactions, the inventory layout, how you can grab the clues and compare them all like a sort of detective board. Props also to whoever did the narrative design, because the NPC writing is quirky, fun, not overdone, and has character. The NPCs come alive each with a different personality, and game design wise they help guide you perfectly. The tutorial being in-built is also very clever. Hats off! Only two comments are to adjust the waterfall sounds which can be a bit overwhelming (and balance between left and right hearing), and that I got a bit stuck when I needed to enter the palace :') Nice job!
Thanks so much for your amazing review!!
For the waterfall audio, it seems to be much better in the PC build! The panning + low pass filter doesn’t work on the web build for some weird reason… 😅
As for the throne room password, I’ve posted it in the comments on the main page in a ‘rot13’ cipher, which you can Google in order to decode it if you ever come back to finish up the game :)
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!
Really good! I love the graphics and style, and the controls feel very good and I love the mystery and atmosphere of the game. Theres so much content for 7 days of work and it works with the theme perfectly.
Love the art style of the game! Also feels very polished. It doesn't have the "This game was made in a week" feeling, but feels like it took way longer than that. Lot of content for this short time. Great job!!
Extremely well made game! Love the artstyle and the idea. Well donee
Loved the art and audio, impressive content for the time span ! Good job team :)
Really impressive submission! The theme is applied both in gameplay and theming, the level design is interesting and the concept rewards exploration and investigation, the UI is beautiful and super useful, having the possibility of adding the clues as notes is amazing, the music and atmosphere really suit the rest of the game, well done!
Really loved this one! Great atmosphere and art style. Liked the whole investigation thing :)
