How does your game fit the theme?
Getting Deeper It is a game where you get deeper down to reach the goal. Which fits the theme of diving deeper. You can also swing with your grappling gun which is technically diving when you are falling :)

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No. Almost all the code and assets is made from scratch but the game music and sound effect are free commercially available assets.

very cool game i wish the player fell faster it was really slow. you should check out mine too

Falling felt incredibly slow, momentum building up was extremely difficult due to swinging being almost non existent, fun game tho needs some tweaks.

Developer

the point of the game is to build momentum. It takes some time to learn. You should check out my game play video linked on the project

Fun base game with a unique way of getting around! Maybe add in a restart button for if you fall to the bottom of the stage accidentally, but other than that well done!

Developer

there is a restart button - it is r. I said it in the tutorial level you probably missed it :P

Fun idea, a bit too slow for my tastes, but that's subjective.

Can't ever go wrong with a grappling gun!

Lot's of fun :) great job.

Cool concept, but lacking some directions in the game. Minimap or overall direction with a zoom from end to start position would suffice for improving it. Good entry!

I like the game concept, but feel like the movement could be improved, and the levels made more clear as to where to go. I ran into an issue a few times where I would get next to the complete level area, and have to use the grapple or restart entirely since I didn't get exactly into the right spot, but other than that cool game!

Super fun game!

Cool idea and nice reference, the game is fun to play!

Everything feels a bit slow though, I feel like the game could be sped up by 2x and / or the physics can be improved

There need to be some deathboxes or something, you can currently just skip most of the levels by falling

I liked that there were multiple ways to reach to goal, very interesting level design.

Great concept and fun execution! I enjoyed the music as well. The one criticism I would have is that the physics sometimes feel more like crawling up to a swinging point, with occassional bursts of extreme excitement. I think in future development the game could benefit from either a change in the physics or more incentives to "restart" when you get to a slow point, encouraging the player to try to do each level in one go. Cool stuff!

At first it was kinda slow, but then things got more intresting. Good work!

Hard to go wrong with a grappling hook in game, it was fun! Having the green tiles as a guide in the tutorial is something I think you could have kept going throughout the game, at least in some form (maybe an arrow pointing towards the goal?).

I had some amount of trouble getting my momentum up or figuring out where to go which felt the opposite of what the smooth, fluid gameplay that you usually look for with a swinging/grappling hook mechanic.

Nice work!

Great Start. I recommend a bit more speed :)

Good game with speedrun potential ;) You should add a timer and maybe a stars, or something
