Shame there's no macOS playable, looks interesting from the screenshots.

Developer

Really sorry about the macOS build, It’ll be available as soon as the voting ends

i hate this bullet fly not along aim pass

Developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I hate other things more than this but it’s a game jam, you have to choose wisely what bugs/features to get fixed.

I really enjoyed the second half, I thought it was totally gonna be over when I pulled the lever, but then they came from behind on horseback, which was a welcome surprise. When I thought the game was over, i.e. the train had stopped I thought I was supposed to exit the train but i died as soon as I jumped out, I probably should have waited a bit, but I thin that could have been made more clear, like maybe with more dialog or something..

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback and I agree, lacks of some polish and clear objectives. If you wait a little bit, it shows a “win screen” after the horse enemies are dead :)

Great effort! Controls, music, audio, graphics was decent.

The lever at the end didn’t do anything. Which was a bit of a let down :)

We should have just teamed up together! Seeing FPS wise our games are very similar. Except in your game enemies actually know how to operate revolvers! And in our game interactive things work :) It’s funny to see what each of us compromised to make the submission in the allowed time.

I loved the horse riding bandits, I was planning to add something similar to my game but never got around to it.

Whiskey in place of med kit’s was a nice touch, probably dulls the pain of bullet holes a bit. Or at the very least, has a placebo effect :D

Developer

Thanks for playing :) Love the feedback. The lever bring the horse enemies to you, if you kill them, you can see how the horses run into the horizon.

The horse riding bandits are the same as the other bandits but embedded into the horses lol

Glad you enjoyed it!

Caught my eye due to it being a rare 3D game. Enthusiastic entry, and the effort is appreciated.

  • Cool colour palette and art style. Stylish; another thing that catches a browser's attention.
  • Seems "advancing to the front of the train" was a popular game design. :)
  • Enemies and a combat system for a nine-day turnaround, wow. The ambition is impressive.
  • UI: good (in-game hints to controls especially); UX: a little confusing as to what the goal was (flipping the brake lever down didn't seem to stop the train nor conclude the level / game).
  • Bullets didn't seem to impact enemies from long-range. Couldn't defeat the horse-riding enemies after turning the brakes down.
  • But otherwise, an impressive 3D showcase title in this jam. Very well done!

Great feedback! Thanks for playing. It was a little bit difficult to pull it out, but for me it was worth it :). I’ll be fixing it asap

Nice work with the sand fog.

I like the sounds for the gun, and the reloading!

The bullets felt a bit off. Instead of having a projectile you could perhaps have used a trail renderer or something to visualize where the bullet flied. It was really hard to hit the enemies on the horses.

I didn't understand how the break worked, maybe it could have been a button mashing thing that was interrupted by the cowboys on horse? Could have been a fun way of having to allocate time to both shooting and mashing the break button!

Cool little game, well done!

Thanks a lot for playing!

As I run out of time I left the bullets behind and didn’t even think about it. It’s hitscan by the way, aiming directly do the trick but bullets confuse a lot, you’re right.

The break start breaking the train (duh) but you have to kill the enemies on the horses to “win”. I like the QTE kind of break btw, I’ll think about it.

Thanks for the feedback

Cool idea, cool graphics, ambitious game. But it could've used a lot more polish.

For me, when making an fps game, it's important to nail the gun. Here are a few points that could be improved :

- Enemy hitboxes were wayyyyy too small and hard to hit

- The bullet effect was inaccurate. If you have a hitscan weapon, you need to make the visual projectile way faster. Also, it shoots to the side.

- Sound design can be improved a lot for the gun. It lacks oomph, guns should have a noisy percussive sound, with big attack and lots of noisy mid frequency

Huge congrats on a successful game entry ! I don't want to seem too harsh, I'm writing these quickly to test as many games as possible. I hope this is useful feedback !

Also I liked it when enemies arrived on horses.

Developer(+1)

Great feedback! Not harsh at all. There was a lot of things I left for the final hours and couldn’t deliver. Thanks for playing and the detailed feedback!

I’m sorry, I’ll be updating the game ASAP

I like the idea, I don't know if my game bugged or it should have happened something after I use the breaks.

Developer

Thanks! And yes, there are some other bad guys on horses coming after you use the breaks. Thanks for playing
