Great game, no fighting but more logical outrunning, I like that! Also the game isn't hard or easy and the atmosphere is great! Also the placement of them are great, not to much. I encountered the bug that after you got the tool (first of three) but then get the tractor key, it didn't updated it until I found the car battery. This game could be developed further with more levels and more mechanics, like crafting, hiding and more! Keep it up!

Great atmosphere. Zombies are strange. Sometimes they attack, sometimes they don't. Don't make genre of game, but it was pretty good experience. Good luck with your projects!

Developer

Thanks! :)

There are some issues with the player detection. Haven't had enough time for debugging :(

Great visuals! Couldn't manage to get the tractor key but I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

There are little tips for the key:
1. It is NOT in the car
2. It is "highlighted"
3. I think placement is quite logical

didnt manage to finish the game but fun experience! good job ;)

Developer

Thank you! Glad it was fun :)

Good visuals and atmosphere, the zombies didn't pose much of a threat since you can run faster than them all the time but I got jumpscared by the loud interaction sound effects instead :)

I'm not sure if the zombies react to proximity or sight or something else entirely, occasionally I can sprint in front of one without them noticing. It actually happened with the first zombie I encountered and I just approached thinking it was an NPC or something :D Anyway like others said, it could be interesting to have a mechanic to deal with them instead of just outrunning them.

Anyway, good entry!

Developer

Well, zombies are not perfect. They suppose to react on visuals within the range, but sometimes it doesn't work - maybe eyes went bad? :)
Maybe should make smaller speed diffirence as well.

Thank you for the feedback)

Excellent game!  Good use of lighting and fog to create a nice horror scene.  Sound effects were well done, you could tell when you were being followed.  Path finding works well.  Not being able to fight back adds to the tension.  It's the most fun game I've played out of this jam!

Wow! Thank you for such feedback!)

P.S. couldn't find the key.

Good submission.

Very much appreciated the ambience and atmosphere you created. Good choice of music/ambient noise and the right amount of fog to obscure the players vision without making the game completely unplayable. Got jump-scared by the first zombie I encountered, snuch right behind me. Matches the theme well too.

For improvements, maybe add another game mechanic e.g. a way to trap zombies, a different type of zombie, etc. to add more depth to the gameplay.

Nice job!

Thank you for such detailed feedback :) Much appreciated!
Really glad that jump-scare worked :) it is not scripted, because of random rotation - zombie can often overlook you :)

I thought to add another zombie type, which will detect player by sound, but haven't had time to implement. As well as I thought to add weapon with very limited ammo, but it will also attract enemies then shot.

Sound like good ideas. Thumbs up from me!

I liked the foggy visuals and the aesthetic was nice overall. Really felt it needed some more work on music and sound effects to give some character to the zombies and the city itself.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I also feel that music and sfx can be improved. Not my strong point :)

It was great! The ambiance was really good, a really small Silent Hill hehe...

Developer(+1)

Thank you :) Yes, that clearly was my inspiration for visuals.

I really liked the way this looks!

Developer

Thank you! Obviously, a big part of it are Kenney's assets, but I tried to add my own spin to it with lighting and fog :)

Developer

Thank you :)

nice game, impressive 3d environment for a game jam, i had a good time sprinting around the city trying to find my tractor keys! i think a sprint fatigue bar would help give a feeling of helplessness while you search

Developer

Thank you! I thought about it, to add some food around the map to replenish it. But not all ideas would fit timeframe :)

I wish there was a Mac or WebGL build it looks interesting.

Developer

I tried to make a WebGL build, but something went wrong :( and another reason, as I remember, WebGL builds won't render fog and lighting gets dull.

Yeah, I see. It looks great visually. I am gonna try with my windows computer later on!
